WHAT'S UP WEDNESDAY | APRIL 2020

Hey hey!  Welcome back to the April installment of What's Up Wednesday with Sheaffer and Shay!
It is hard to believe that we are now 6 weeks into this mess.  When our kids got out for Spring Break (March 9th-13th), we had no idea we wouldn't be returning to school.  But when we found out, it was still all so new, the kids were excited and we were embracing it and making the best of it.  (We also didn't start homeschool officially until late March so that was awesome.)

At first, it was all family game nights, movie nights, puzzles, staying up late, sleeping in...it was nice to be forced to slow down and really bond and make some memories.  Everyone wanted to find the silver lining in the devastating circumstances surrounding the quarantine and we did.  But if you're anything like my family, the newness has worn off a little. And while we still have family movie night, it's more like once or twice a week now as opposed to 5 nights a week, and we still work on puzzles sometimes but this latest one has been sitting on our table for 2 weeks without more than 5 pieces put together.  We are getting BORED.

We're over here giving it our best shot at trying to keep things fun and light while also trying not to pull our hair out with distance learning.  I don't know about your kids but mine need to be reminded on a daily basis that this is not summer break and they need to get.to.work. School is still in session whether it feels like it or not.  We have four more weeks and I need these kids to hold it together just a little while longer.

BIRTHDAY BUDDIES! | 41 & 10

I know I've been a terrible blogger lately but this quarantine has me feeling so unmotivated when it comes to certain things right now and blogging just took a backseat last week without me even meaning to.  But today's got me all inspired because two people in my house have a birthday today!

Craig turns 41 and Mason turns 10!  Part of me is having trouble with the fact that I'm old enough to be married to someone who is 41...which just seems old!  Until I remember that I am 38.  Sigh.  And then the other part of me wonders how it's been 10 years since my water broke in front of my mother-in-law while my husband was out to dinner with his friends celebrating the night before his birthday!😂😂😂

Yes, that happened.

Helloooooo....Friday? Right?

Kidding.  I know it's Friday.  It's GOOD Friday!!

On Good Friday Jesus hung on the cross and died and the enemy thought he had killed the Son of God. It's Friday - but Sunday's coming! #Matthew #WomensBibleStudy #GoodMorningGirls

I just love those words.

HOW WE QUARANTINE.

Happy Wednesday, everyone!  I thought I'd share a little bit of what our daily lives are like while we are trapped at home during this pandemic.  I still feel like all of this is just SURREAL, don't you?! Honestly, if I think about it too long I start to go way too deep and get myself thinking "What if I'm really in a coma right now and this is all just some sort of crazy dream that I'll eventually wake up from?".  Yeah, things are getting freaky over here. 😂 #sendhelp

TOP 10 SUPER FUN FAVORITES OF THE WEEK | FF #126

It's Friday again, y'all!  Ummm...not that that really means anything anymore really.  Every single day is basically Groundhog Day, right?

We are still doing fine over here living that Quarantine Life.  Everyone is still healthy (minus a bout of food poisoning with Mason...more on that at the end of this post. #lordhavemercy) so we are thankful for that.
