FRIDAY FAVORITES #99

Happy Friday, friends!  I feel like I've been gone from the blog for too long.  I took an unexpected break from here all week to just do a bunch of things that took up my spare time and now I feel like I have a million things to post about but can't possibly fit them all in today.  So stay tuned for next week!  It'll be my last week of blogging before we leave for our little vacation!  Whoohoo!!

FATHER'S DAY WEEKEND | 2019

Happy Wednesday, friends!  I wanted to share some of our fun from Father's Day weekend today.  We were split between two states but we all had a big time!

So backing up a little.  For Christmas, the boys made me little coupons that said things like "This coupon is good for one hug" or "This coupon is good for one weekend by yourself."  As much as I love a hug, I also love a weekend to myself!  So they all decided that Father's Day weekend would be a great one to give me a free weekend.  They would head to Alexandria, Louisiana to see Craig's parents on Friday afternoon and would come back on Monday.  And I would get all that time to do WHATEVER I WANTED.

I had so many ideas for what I could do during all this free time, y'all.  In the beginning, I was anxious to knock out some projects, enjoy not having to clean up everyone's junk all weekend and just do absolutely nothing if I wanted.  But earlier in the week, I'd decided I wanted to do something even more fun.  I was going to drive to Texarkana to see my parents and surprise them for Father's Day!  I LOVE surprises.  I love being surprised and doing the surprising.  I knew my dad would think it was a great surprise too. (Spoiler Alert:  He did. 😉)

But before I could do any of that, I had to get the boys packed and ready to go.

We started with haircuts.  They really needed haircuts.

AMANDA'S AMAZON HAUL | #2

It's been a couple of months since I've done an Amazon Haul and let me tell you...I've racked up quite a random assortment of Amazon goodies since then.  So I thought I'd give you a peek at the good stuff...and the weird stuff..that has shown up on my doorstep over the past 2 months.  ;)

So right up front, I've got to admit that if I showed you every single thing I've primed in the past 2 months, we'd be here all day.  I'm a very consistent primer.  😉  So here are a few of my favorites.

LET'S TALK...MAKEUP.

When I opened up my IG stories a few weeks ago for y'all to ask some questions I got a lot of random ones (which I loved) but I also got a lot about the makeup that I use and/or if I could give a tutorial.  Let me stop right there and say that I'll most likely never be doing any kind of video tutorial.  Like ever.  I don't feel worthy, I hate my voice on camera and feel like I'd do you a much bigger favor by pointing you in the direction of people who give ME tutorials. 😂 (Here's a great one.)

FRIDAY FAVORITES #98.

Happy Friday, y'all!  We are checking off Week 1 of summer break!  This week the boys had baseball camp Monday through Wednesday and baseball games on Wednesday and Thursday nights which kept us doing just enough to keep away the stir-crazy.  

MAY BOOK REVIEW | 2019

It's that time again!  All the book lovers say amen!

Today is my May book review!

So last month, I read 4 books and when I say READ I actually mean it!  Or at least for one of them, I mean it. One I sat by the pool and read on my Kindle and the other 3 were my usual Audible books.  I LOVE to sit by the pool and read an actual book.  And as much as I love reading real books with pages to turn, I may love my Kindle just a little bit more.  I never thought I'd say it, but it's true.  Times they are a-changin'.  (You've got to read that with a southern accent.) 

I recommend all of these books, especially if you are looking for fun, chick-lit, beach reads.  These should definitely be added to your list.  

AMANDA ANSWERS | PART 2

Hey there, friends!  Welcome to my first summer post of 2019!!  Whoohoo!!  I want to say you can expect more posts from me this summer as opposed to how it's been this school year.  Yes.  I WANT to say that.  And I have high hopes.  But I'm learning to stop promising things when it comes to this blog because it really does come after all the other things.
