MARCH BOOK REVIEW | 2020

Well, it's been 6 months since my last official book review and to this day, I still don't know why I stopped!?!  My last one was back in August and it was a crazy time with school and sports starting and adjusting to our new schedules so I guess all of that just threw me out of rhythm.  But I'm hoping to do better and get things back on track because y'all know how much I love my (audio)books!  I mean, I love real books too and reading on my Kindle is my favorite thing to do during the summer but for the rest of the year, I'm strictly an audio girl while I go about my work/chores/errand-running etc.

Needless to say, all five books I read this month were audiobooks so keep that in mind when I say I "read" them.

This was a great month to get back into doing reviews because all of these were pretty great!  Some I liked more than others though so let's dive in!

WHAT'S UP WEDNESDAY | QUARANTINE EDITION

So apparently it's Wednesday?  😂

All of my days are running together and I feel like I'm living in an alternate universe.  I have never wanted to go wander the aisles of Hobby Lobby more than I do right.this.minute.  Get me out of here!!

I'm linking up with Shay and Sheaffer for this month's What's Up Wednesday where we discuss all the things that have been going on lately so here we go!

CORONA CRISIS & BOREDOM BUSTERS | FF #125

Oh my goodness, y'all.  So much has changed in a week!  My post from last Friday was full of my thoughts on the Bachelor finale which feels ridiculous now and also feels like a million years ago!  Can you BELIEVE that just last week the hot topic all over Instagram was Barb and her despicable behavior towards Madi during the live show?  That was LAST WEEK!  It blows my mind.  I feel like it was last month.

Everything changed in one week.  The whole WORLD changed in one week.  It's scary, it's distressing, it's annoying...but it's real life right now.  I still feel like it's all a dream we're waiting to wake up from, don't you?

Oh man.  Bachelor finale night--what a mess.

Before I start, I wanted to tell you that I am linking up with Andrea, Erika and Narci for Friday Favorites so if you aren't a Bachelor fan, then scroll on down for a couple that you can't miss!

And if you are a Bachelor fan, then settle in.  I have thoughts.  So many thoughts.

I'm going to do this stream of consciousness style so bare with me.

BEAUTY BOXES, CLOUD-LIKE SNEAKERS & POP CULTURE FAVES | FF #123

Teachers, teaching, spring break, second grade, much needed.

Oh hey there, Spring Break!!

Somehow we've jumped from Christmas to Spring Break in the blink of an eye and I'm not mad about it in the slightest.  January and February are the most boring months of the year, in my opinion.  You come off the holiday high into the coldest months and sit around waiting for warm weather and pretty flowers to arrive again.  Am I right?!

THE BACHELOR: OTHER PEOPLE'S CRAZY THEORIES & MY (NOT SO CRAZY) ONE.

HEADS UP, FRIENDS!  IF YOU DON'T LIKE BACHELOR SPOILERS AND THEORIES THEN YOU MAY WANT TO SKIP THIS POST! :)

But if you do then you're in the right place.
--------------------------------------------------------------------

Ok, so yesterday I fell down a rabbit hole of all things Bachelor related.  I found this (below) and posted it to my stories and was about to type out some Bachelor thoughts afterward but honestly, I had too many.  They needed a full blog post of their own.  A slide or two would simply not suffice. ;)

THE MANDA STRONG GALA 💜

HOLY COW, y'all.  The Inaugural Manda Strong Gala was such a huge success!!  It raised over $133,000 for mamas fighting cancer here in Collin County and I still can't believe that number.  The foundation is growing exponentially and with all these donations I can't wait to see how many hurting families are going to be blessed by it.  This foundation is about providing whatever they can to help these brave moms make lasting memories with their kids.  Each case is unique and special so that can come in the form of so many things--trips, special photos, something at home the whole family can enjoy...it's just all about passing on what Manda wanted most for this foundation.  She wanted these moms to get to make lasting, cherished memories with their kids in the midst of all the darkness.

Eight of my girlfriends were on this committee and worked their magic for this event and it went off without a hitch!  I'm so proud of them and all their hard work. They actually sold out of tickets before the event even went on sale to the public so this will be so much bigger next year, I'm sure. But everything was so perfect.  The space was so neat, the band was awesome, and the food was incredible (still wish I could have licked my plate without judgment b/c I totally would have 😉).

Craig was out of town for a football camp on Friday so unfortunately, he couldn't come.  Not that galas are really his thing so he wasn't terribly upset.  haha  (Although this was not a formal gala with ballgowns and tuxes, thank goodness.  Cocktail attire was much more everyone's speed so good call on that.)  Since I was dateless, I asked Dani to come with me and as bummed as I was that he couldn't make it, I was so glad Dani was there!
