MEMORIAL DAY WEEKEND.

Happy Tuesday, friends!

Before I get started on our weekend, I want to say the biggest thank you for all your kind words, thoughts and prayers from Friday's post about our sweet Odie.  It has been so hard not seeing his face every morning or hearing the slow click-clack of his nails on the hardwood at night while I'm trying to sleep.  He became a bit of a night wanderer towards the end.

Life goes on and thankfully, this weekend was full of distractions.

Friday, the boys had Field Day and the day started with gorgeous sunshine.  Mason's time slot was from 8:30-11 and Matthew's was 12:00-2:30.  Around 11:45 I looked out the window and noticed some super dark clouds rolling in.  And I just knew this wouldn't end well for Matthew and all of his friends at Field Day.

My neighbor drove by our culdesac around 12:30 and took this picture of our house.  Yikes.

Odie.

This week has been one of the hardest weeks for our family.

On Wednesday afternoon, we said goodbye to our sweet Odie.

The Baby is 10.

Hello Monday!!

We are less than 3 weeks away from summer and I know the kids are so excited!  I'm excited too.  Don't get me wrong.  But there's something to be said for a quiet and empty house 8 hours a day, five days a week when you're a work-at-home mom.

But I'll deal with that as it comes.  This weekend, however, was all about celebrating my Matthew.

Friday Favorites #59 | Etsy Finds

Oh, friends.  It has been a WEEK.  I would say "Yay, Friday!" but sometimes Fridays are just another day in a long line of busy days.

This week we've dealt with two days of STAAR testing, one kid with an annoying cough and cold (allergies?), one kid that was sent home with a major stomach ache that lasted a solid 5 hours (he sounded like he was in labor for 4 of them), a late game that didn't get us home until after 10, a "modified lockdown" at the kids' school due to a suspicious person (all ok), and one old pup that may lose her eye.  (Sigh.)

Plus, more open orders in my Etsy shop than I've ever had.  (Over 160 at this point.)

Whew.

Tonight we have baseball.  Tomorrow is Matthew's birthday and more baseball.  And I'm dreading the response I'm going to get when he finds out that he is not, in fact, getting a trampoline.  #meanmommy

THE REWIND SERIES | BELLIES & BABIES

Hey there, friends!  Today I've got another installment in my Rewind Series!

You can find my first post HERE where I rewound things and showed y'all our trip to the Bahamas in 2009 for our 4th anniversary.

But today, we're talking pregnancy, which is one of my all-time favorite topics of conversation.

I love a pregnant belly.  And I love (almost) everything about being pregnant.

Yes, I was one of those.

But first. a little backstory:  Craig and I were married on March 19th, 2005. He was with the Packers at the time and we decided on waiting 3 years before trying for a baby.  We wanted that time to enjoy ourselves and our incredibly blessed situation while we were young and just live it up!

But after 2.5 years, a move to Buffalo, a new contract, and a big new house, I was ready.  And thankfully, I didn't have to do too much persuading to get Craig on board.

FRIDAY FAVORITES #58.

Hello Friday!!

And Happy Mother's Day weekend to all you precious mamas!

Being a mom is HARD, y'all.  But I think we can all agree that it is totally worth it.  The sleepless nights, the stressful days, the worry, the fear, the joy, the LOVE.  It all comes with being a mom and I wouldn't trade this job for all the money in the world.

Our Weekend & Target Finds.

Hey friends!  Today I've got a photo dump for you and a little life lately!

Our pool is officially open!  The neighborhood boys all head to our house after school every day for water gun fights, nerf wars and lots of "Can you text my mom to see if I can swim?".  Ha!

We could not have asked for more when it comes to the perfect neighborhood for our family.  It is busting at the seams with boys!

I would totally hug Friday if I could.  Actually, I'd hug Friday night because I still have to work all day today.  Sigh.
