FRIDAY FAVORITES #111.

Our week is over, friends!  Well, depending on when you are reading this, I guess.  We've got to get through today before we can start our weekend fun around here so I'll be officially off once I get back from Matthew's very first middle school awards ceremony this morning (straight As!) and then get the last of this week's Etsy orders finished and out the door.

We've got a busy weekend planned so there won't be a whole lot of relaxing downtime but it should be a lot of fun!  Our Saturday starts with the 3rd Annual Manda Strong 5K and Fun Run.  I'm scheduled to be there by 7:30am which is very early for me to be up, dressed and out the door on a Saturday morning, y'all.  But it's for such a good cause!  The Manda Strong Foundation raises money for moms with young kids who are battling cancer all over Collin County.  We would love to see you out there!  The Fun Run starts at 9 and the 5K is at 9:20.  Online registration is closed but you can still register at the table on race day!

AMAZON HAUL #3.

Ahhhh...I love a good Amazon Haul post, don't you?  I've got my third installment today for you and let me tell you, if I were to show you EVERYTHING I've purchased from Amazon since the last one, we'd be here all.day.long.  And then some.  ๐Ÿ˜‚ I'm sure many of you can relate.

So I've narrowed it down to the things I've loved and/or things I feel like you'd want to see.

WHAT'S UP WEDNESDAY | OCTOBER 2019

Happy Holiday Season, friends!  It's technically the holiday season now, right?  We're one day from Halloween (a holiday) and then BAM!  It's NOVEMBER!  And November is the official start of the holiday season for me and I'm guessing for most of you as well.  I mean, I won't go as far as to say Merry Christmas just yet (๐Ÿ˜‚) but goodness knows I'm ITCHING to dive headfirst into one of my red plastic tubs full of glitter and twinkly lights.  I  cannot wait to deck my halls!!

Every year I see and hear debates between the people who are firmly "all things Christmas" the second the clock strikes midnight on November 1st and the ones who don't even think about Christmas until that turkey and dressing are tucked neatly into Tupperware in the fridge on Thanksgiving night.
Yuppies definitely me
I tend to fall somewhere in the middle on the outside but on the inside--see above. ๐ŸŽ„ Now the older I get, the more I'm starting to care less and less about what is socially acceptable when it comes to what's considered too early or too late. You'll never please everyone and honestly, who the heck cares if someone thinks its too early for you to decorate your own house for Christmas!?  If they don't live there, it's not hurting them.  (And even if they do live there, they can just deal. #ahem #craignall)

All of that to say, YOU DO YOU this year girls and don't let anyone pressure you into waiting until they think it's appropriate or pushing you to decorate before you're ready.  And if you think it's ridiculous that someone is decorating too early or waiting too late, keep it to yourself.  Don't rain on someone else's parade, man.

Image result for be cool don't be all like uncool gif

My neighbor is putting up her Christmas stuff this weekend and I am 100% jealous.  I've got a little more shopping to do (we need a new tree) before I can really start thinking about it but oooohhhh I can't wait!

But back today's post.  ;)  It's another installment of What's Up Wednesday with Shay and Sheaffer where we answer all sorts of questions about what we've been up to lately and what we're planning next month.  I love seeing what everyone else is up to so if you leave a comment here and you've also blogged WUW, please leave your link and I'll check it out!

CATCHING UP.

Hello Monday!

I'm back today feeling so much better than I was last Monday, that's for sure!  Week-long head colds are the worst and I finally said a firm "peace out" to mine.  I'm looking forward to being super-productive this week to make up for the last one!

I feel like I'm off to a good start too with a blog post!  We don't see a lot of Monday blog posts around here so already I feel like I'm winning. ๐Ÿ˜‚

I thought I'd make today's post a good ole photo dump and share what we've been up to lately!

Hey strangers!!  I feel like I've been gone forever!  (It's only been a week but still.)  It has been the craziest few weeks around here and I am so looking forward to getting back to our routine.

funny nurse humor

The past 3 weekends have been so fun but so busy and it has thrown off my weekly routines like crazy!  I feel like I'm just spinning my wheels trying to catch up on everything from laundry and dishes to Etsy orders and the FB group.  Looking forward to this weekend where I can get everything back in place, remember to wash gym clothes, sign school forms, open mail and get new listings posted to the shop.

FRIDAY FAVORITES #108

I think it's finally happening, friends!  This Texas heat is slowly receding and we are going to be getting some actual FALL weather (or what we consider fall weather) this weekend!  Today the high is 62 (as of the last time I checked) and it will continue to rise a little each day until next Tuesday where it peaks around 87 and then starts to taper back down again.  We'll take it!

Yay for sweater weather! Iรข€™m so glad fall is finally here. #handlettering #brushlettering #adrawingaday #fall

BIRTHDAY WEEKEND RECAP | WEDDING, SIX FLAGS & #GBVSDAL

So I guess this is what 38 looks like!  How am I THIRTY-EIGHT YEARS OLD?!  I'm not sure what I imagined myself as at 38 when I was a kid or a teenager.  But probably much the same as I actually am.  Mom, wife, days and nights at the ballfield, church, friends, family. (Not in that particular order.)  I had no idea what I'd be doing for a career when I was younger though. I danced around many many ideas.  Child psychologist, pediatrician, optometrist, marine biologist, teacher, architect, wedding planner.  I was definitely not one of those kids who knew what they were going to be their whole lives.  (My best friend growing up, Chauna, was the opposite though.  She knew she wanted to be a vet her whole life and now she is!  And she's making a lot more money than I am.  ๐Ÿ˜‚๐Ÿ˜‚๐Ÿ˜‚)  But even though my chosen career path isn't something I envisioned for myself, it works for me.  And in 10 years, who knows what I might be doing! ๐Ÿ˜‰

FRIDAY FAVORITES #107 | BIRTHDAY EDITION

20 It's My Birthday Memes To Remind Your Friends | SayingImages.com

Tomorrow is my birthday.  I'll be 38 and it still seems like a crazy dream to think I'm that old.  I close my eyes and I still see myself at 21.  I seem to just have stopped aging (in my mind) around that time.  I mean honestly, life was pretty dang sweet at 21. ;)  Why would I want to age beyond 21?!

To celebrate, we'll be heading to the Packers/Cowboys game on Sunday with the boys and Uncle Ricky and this will be my kids' very first NFL game.  They are so pumped and I can't think of a better first game for them to see!  Craig and I will be flying to Green Bay NEXT weekend for the Monday night game up there but unfortunately, the boys can't come to that one.  But we both can't wait to show them Lambeau someday!

PAGEANTS, FOOTBALL, FRIENDS & THROWBACKS | NORTHWESTERN STATE WEEKEND

Welcome back, friends!

Last Wednesday, I told you all that I had fun plans for the weekend so I'm back today with a little recap!  In case you don't remember or didn't see that post, I was asked to judge my university's Miss Northwestern Lady of the Bracelet pageant on Friday so I decided to make a whole weekend out of it.

I went to school at Northwestern State University in Natchitoches, LA.  (Sidenote: Natchitoches is pronounced "Nak-uh-tish"...not to be confused with Nacogdoches in TX where Stephen F. Austin is.)  Y'all, I've said it before but I had the BEST college experience.  I would do it all over again in a heartbeat with only a few minor changes. (I won't get into what those would be.  hahaha) Our college town is super quaint, cute and SMALL.  The speed limit is basically 25 mph almost everywhere.  And it's where they filmed Steel Magnolias so that's our claim to fame.

WHAT'S UP WEDNESDAY | SEPTEMBER

Happy Wednesday, friends!  Hard to believe we are just a few days away from October!  Doesn't it feel like it was JUST New Year's?  (No?  Just me?)  It's crazy to think we are just 3 months away from 2020!  I started thinking about that the other day and just couldn't believe it.  I swear the older I get the more time seems to just whiz right past me.

But I'm already getting off on a tangent so let me get back to what we're here for today.  It's another What's Up Wednesday with Shay and Sheaffer where we answer all sorts of questions about what we've been up to lately and what we're planning next month.  I love seeing what everyone else is up to so if you leave a comment here and you've also blogged WUW, please leave your link and I'll check it out!

FRIDAY FAVORITES #106

Oh happy Friday!  This week seems to be one of those that has gone by in a blur and I keep hearing myself saying "Wait, WHAT day is it?".

Mom memes #motherhood #mommemes #memes #momlife

I seriously forget what I'm doing all the time.  I even told my mom the other day that I was worried about my memory lately because I forget things within a split second.  I'll go to google something and by the time I get the browser open, I've entirely forgotten what it was I was going to look up.  Is that normal?  Ugh.  Just one more thing to add to my list of worries!

Anyway, its Friday Favorites day and for once, I didn't forget about that! ;)  So let's get started.

SCARIEST NIGHT OF OUR LIVES.

Oh my goodness, friends.  Where to even start.  It has been quite an emotional weekend around here.  Here goes my second post in a row talking about something horrible that will stay with us forever.

So.

I think a lot of you probably saw my posts on Facebook and Instagram about a Friday the 13th we will never forget and I just wanted to say thank you for all the kind words left in the comments on those.  It was the scariest situation that any of my family has ever been.

I gave you the abbreviated version on social media but for those of you want the full story, here it is.

Matthew had a baseball game Friday night at 8.  Craig and Matthew left around 7 because they had to get there early to warm up (Craig is the head coach) and so Mason and I waited a bit and got there around 7:50.  Mason wanted to bring his scooter to the game that night which was fine with me.  He likes to ride around in the big open area between all the fields.

18 years later.

It's been 18 years since that terrible, awful, heartbreaking, earth-shattering day.  I can't remember if I've ever shared the story of where I was and what I was doing when I found out about the attacks so I thought that in honor of today, I'd tell you my story and hope you'll share some of yours as well.

AUGUST BOOK REVIEW | 2019

Welcome back, friends!  Yay for Friday, yay for (almost) Fall and yay for Book Review Day!  Right?!

If you're shaking your head no right now on the book review thing because you just aren't a reader, it's ok.  Come back next week. :)  But for the record, I don't have time to be a "reader" much anymore either.  I'm an audiobook girl, which most of you know if you have been following along for the past few years, but for those of you who somehow found your way into my little part of the internet today, then I just wanted you to know that.  And that audiobooks are AMAZING.  Seriously, the best thing to happen to the busy mom who loves to immerse herself in fictional worlds and other peoples' stories (because #nosy) but has absolutely zero time to zone out with a book.  (Ok, I could make time at night BUT...Bravo isn't going to watch itself, people.)

LIFE LATELY | SEPTEMBER

Hey there, lovely ladies and happy Tuesday!

Is anyone else riding the struggle bus right now trying to adjust to their new fall schedules?  I'll be honest.  I'm not doing so hot!  (Shocking, I know. haha)  I've been trying to do too many things at once lately and spreading myself way too thin which means things are falling through the cracks.  And I hate that.

FRIDAY FAVORITES #105.

Happy Friday, girls!  How was everyone's week?  It's still looking like this down here in Texas.

I barely go outside these days unless the sun has set.  It's too hot to even swim.  I'm over it and ready for some cooler temperatures even if that's just the upper 80s! (Or even low 90s.  Beggars can't be choosers and all that.)  Craig even had a friend pass out with a full-on heatstroke after a golf game the other day.  Scary.  I don't know why they think it's fun playing golf in this mess.

Anyway, today I'm back with some Friday Favorites!  Some of these you may have already seen on my Instagram but in case you missed it, I had to show you again.  Like...

A DAY IN THE LIFE | 8.15.19

Hey there, friends!  I've got my very first Day in the Life post today!  I've been blogging for over 2.5 years now and I have yet to do a Day in the Life.  Why?  Because my regular daily life is super dull and it would be the worst post ever.  Trust me.  You'd be so bored.

However, I really did want to do one so I decided to choose a day that we had a little more going on.  What better than the first day of school?!

6.:30am

My alarm went off at 6:30 which, to a lot of you, I know is really late.  But to me, who didn't set an alarm all summer by the way, it's SUPER early.  I've mentioned before that I'm a night owl, not an early bird, so my brain doesn't even really turn on all the way until around 9am.  I've always been like that but I make up for it by being super productive late at night.  Thank goodness.

FRIDAY FAVORITES #104.

Happy Friday, friends!

The boys went back to school yesterday and it was glorious!  ๐Ÿ˜Ž๐Ÿ˜‚ After I came home from the annual Back-to-School breakfast with the girls, I was able to work in peace and quiet for what felt like the first time all summer and I got so much done.  I forgot how easy it is to focus when there is no screaming, no fighting, no wrestling, no shrieking, no asking for x,y,z and no messes...just me and my audiobook turned up to a normal volume because I had no fears of little ears hearing bad words or inappropriate scenes.  ๐Ÿ˜‰

BYE BYE SUMMER (BREAK).

We are days away from the end of summer, you guys!  Maybe not summer exactly but the summer break.  Right now in Mckinney, TX, it is like walking on the sun every time you step out of the door. We are at the peak of our summer season with this dang heat. You know that feeling you get when you open the oven door and the heat rushes out so hot and fast that it curls your lashes?  Yeah, that's how it's been lately.  August in Texas is no fun.

Since it's the end of our break, I thought I'd share some of the fun stuff from lately that just haven't made it to the blog.  I'm literally just scrolling through my phone pics to see what I can find!

Last night, things got REAL for this kid!  We went to Meet the Teacher night at his middle and I still have a hard time wrapping my head around that.  Matthew is my firstborn.  My sweet, kind, responsible, cautious, rule-following young man.  And I"m just praying he leaves middle school the same way!  I pray every day that he surrounds himself with the right friends.  That is my #1 prayer.  Friends who will hold each other accountable, who won't pressure each other to make bad decisions and who will think it's awesome to continue being awesome!

SUMMER BOOK REVIEW | JUNE/JULY

Hey book lovers! I'm back today with a 2-for-1 book review because I completely let June get away from me!  So I just decided to combine June and July and get back on track starting now.

If you don't care a darn bit about books, no hard feelings.  ;)  I'll see you next week.  But if you do love a good book or audiobook, then you've come to the right place!

Since I am combining two months worth of reading, I'm just going to review the books that I think you DEFINITELY need to add to your list.  I'll go ahead and link them all though if you want more info.  But the ones I'm reviewing are my favorites.

But I'm here today, linking up with Shay and Sheaffer, and our July has been a busy busy one so I've got a lot to post!

I'm back today with our final full day in Branson!  You guys, this was seriously such a fun, kid-friendly vacation.  There was so much to do, so many things to see and we just didn't have enough time to do it all.  But we fully intend on going back for all the stuff we missed.  I cannot recommend it enough.  Your kids will love every second of it and when they have kids, they'll bring their kids too.  Great memories.

FRIDAY FAVORITES #102

Another week of our summer is gone, friends!  We are 3 weeks away from a new school year and as much as I LOVE summer...I'll be glad to have my house to myself again.  My kids are driving me crazy.  Is that ok to admit?  ๐Ÿ˜‚๐Ÿคฆ‍♀️  Every day its a house full of noise and friends and random cups, bottles of water, trash from all their snacks and a pantry that never stays stocked.  And Nerf darts.  So.Many.NerfDarts.  They are living their best life though so I try not to fuss too much.

LET'S TALK...KETO.

I know I've been promising this post for a while now over in the FB group but I had no idea so many of you were curious about Keto!  So I wanted to do a good job on this post and throw in as many tips, tricks, recipes, and products as I could so you could have a comprehensive view of "Why I Keto"...and how. I knew this "Let's Talk..." series would be the best way to do it.
(You can find my "Let's Talk...Makeup" post HERE.)

PS:  There's a lot of info in here so it might be a great idea to pin that graphic above to your new Keto board on Pinterest (b/c you'll want one of those!) and come back to it when you need to.  Plus, I'd appreciate it. ;)

So, I really went back and forth over putting my actual weight on the blog.  I don't want people to look at it like "Wow, she was a lot bigger than I thought" or "Is she serious?  She didn't need to lose any weight and this is all over the top.".  I'm not great at being vulnerable and that's how I feel sharing it so please be nice!

But after I saw the response I got when I asked if anyone had Keto questions on my Instagram post the other day, I felt like I might as well let it all hang out because yall came out in droves with the questions and DMs.  (All of those Q&As are saved in my #KetoLife Highlights now by the way in my IG bio.)

I wanted to be as real as I could be with this.

FRIDAY FAVES #101 | MY #NSALE PICKS!

So...are we tired of hearing about the Nordstrom Anniversary Sale yet??  ๐Ÿ˜‚๐Ÿ˜‚๐Ÿ˜‚  If you are a blog reader then I'm sure you've seen post after post about this sale for the past week and seen everyone's favorite picks.  I know I have.  (And I don't hate it because I seem to find new great stuff with each post.)  We just got back from vacation so I just started looking through the site on Monday (and purchased my first pair of jeans!) and decided to go ahead and whip up a few easy to shop widgets in case you want to just browse quickly.

Today the sale opens up to the public! Things will sell out and come back as people return items so keep an eye out if something you really want is showing as sold out right now.  Also, most of these items will be restocked after the sale as we head into fall, so if you do miss out on the sale price, there's always a chance it'll go on sale again later in the season.

But let's get to it, shall we?

The first thing I did was check out the jeans options because I get the most wear out of those.  When I saw these jeans for $38 (whoop whoop!) I thought it was a mistake.  I checked out immediately because I thought it was too good to be true.  Which I still thought until they arrived yesterday.  And OMG.  I tried them on and immediately fell in love! They are lightly distressed with a small rip and that fading is on point!  Lighter in the center and darker on the sides gives the illusion of smaller thighs and for me, I am all in when it comes to making my thighs look smaller!  And did I mention...$38!!!  I haven't checked but that's got to be the cheapest pair of jeans in this sale.

I grabbed my favorite plaid and my favorite booties for this little try-on session so if my top looks a little rumpled, it's because it's been stuffed in my closet with no breathing room for the past 6 months. Haha

LOVE. THEM.

(Booties are from last year and are sold out.  This plaid shirt is not available in this color anymore but DOES come in this one and it's on sale for only $14.99 right now!  It is the softest plaid shirt I have ever worn. I could sleep in it.  I'm wearing a medium but ordered my new one in a small.
Also...New rug--yay!--HERE.)

BRANSON, MO 2019 | PART 1

It has been a crazy July, friends.  I feel like we've had so many things going on this month and I'm (as always) trying to play catch up with it all!

We started the month with a pretty intense baseball tournament, then celebrated the 4th of July with friends and then the next day we said the hardest goodbye to our 15.5-year-old pup, Abby.  Three days later, we packed up the car and headed for Branson, Missouri for a week of fun and it was perfect timing because it took our minds off all the sadness in our now dog-free house.  We got back on Saturday evening and I spent all day Sunday doing all the necessary things you do after a week out of town (laundry, groceries, unpacking...tons of fun).

Then first thing Monday morning I was up at a 5am (a ridiculous start time for me) to start posting all the Amazon Prime Day deals!  And for the past two days, I've been glued to my computer posting all the greatest deals over in my Deals Group on Facebook.  I feel like Amazon really stepped it up this year!

So now, it's Wednesday. (right?) And Prime Day has come and gone, my house is back in order and now it's time to get back to normal around here.  I've got Etsy orders piling up so I'm diving headfirst into those today, and working on a bunch of half-finished posts.  ๐Ÿคฆ‍♀️

But today, it's all about Part 1 of our trip to Branson!

Y'all, we had SO MUCH FUN on this vacation!  Was it our typical relaxing beach vacation?  No.  Definitely not.  We were doing something 90% of the time instead of laying on a beach with a book and a cold drink.  It was actually a little exhausting.  haha  We've done beach vacations for years now so it was time to switch it up (check out those trip recaps HERE) and the boys were pretty pumped.

Craig and I chose Branson because we both had great memories of it from when we were kids and it's only a short 6.5 hour drive from Mckinney. Branson is the ultimate when it comes to a vacation spot that your kids will LOVE.  It's a kids' paradise.  I'll show you what I mean by that throughout these recaps.  If you've never been, add it to your list!

We packed up the car and hit the road on Monday morning.  Everyone was all smiles, Dramamine-d up (just in case) and ready for a road trip!

IT'S PRIME DAY!

Welcome back, friends!  We got home from our week in Branson, Missouri on Saturday evening and I've been racing around trying to get us all unpacked, the fridge restocked, the plants revived (oops) and things back to normal as quickly as possible so that I can hit the ground running (so to speak) this morning.  Why?!  Because it's AMAZON PRIME DAY!

People who say money can't buy happiness, have never ordered something from Amazon and gotten it the next day.

If you aren't familiar with Prime Day(s), it's a 2-day blowout sale that will run today and tomorrow on Amazon.  It's basically 48-hours of one amazing deal after the other on tons and tons of products from A-Z.  I'm talking vacuums (you NEED a robot vac!), air fryers, rugs, cameras, beauty, fashion, organization...you name it.

THINGS TO KNOW

1. You need to be a Prime member, for one.  (You can join HERE for just $3 for a 30 Day Trial.  Cancel after the sale if you want straight from your online account.  Super easy and a great way to get Prime deals without committing to a full-price membership.)

2. Also, these Prime Day Deals will come and go quickly throughout the day.  Some will sell out quickly and from what I can remember, they are all on timers, like Lightning Deals.  They won't be around for long so don't wait if you see something great!

3. Join my FB GROUP!  Did you know I have a Daily Deals Facebook Group?  (I'm guessing you did but just in case...).  I will be posting my favorite deals over there as they pop up so don't forget to join, set your group notifications to "All Posts" and make sure to refresh the page each time you come back!

There is a thread going in the group where you can list anything you are hoping to find a good deal on as well!  Feel free to use to let me know what you're looking for and if I see it, I'll make sure to tag you with the link.

TARGET 2-DAY SALE

Artist of the Day: Fawn Veerasunthorn

ALSO, this year Target is challenging Amazon with its very own 2-day blowout sale!  This is an online-only sale which will rival Amazon in every way it can and of course, I'll be posting their deals as well!

Both of these sales are a great way to stock up for birthdays, for Christmas (definitely), add new pieces to your wardrobe, revamp your kitchen with new pots and pans and appliances, back-to-school shop for your kids or update your home decor!

LIFE LATELY | MID-SUMMER EDITION

It is JULY, friends.  How did that happen?!

We have been busy around here living out our super basic summer in the best ways!  We always say we like to summer like it's 1989.  Haha.  Lots of swimming in all the pools in the neighborhood, running around outside with friends from sun up to sun down, playing hide and seek, riding bikes, having lemonade stands, having sleepovers, eating popsicles, going to the movies, pouring baby oil and dish soap on slip-n-slides...and then playing in the mud created by said slip-n-slides...(don't get a slip-n-slide.)

So I thought I'd show you a little of that with a bunch of pics pulled straight from my phone. :)

Starting with friends, swimming and watermelon! Can't get much more "summer" than that!

FRIDAY FAVORITES #99

Happy Friday, friends!  I feel like I've been gone from the blog for too long.  I took an unexpected break from here all week to just do a bunch of things that took up my spare time and now I feel like I have a million things to post about but can't possibly fit them all in today.  So stay tuned for next week!  It'll be my last week of blogging before we leave for our little vacation!  Whoohoo!!

But today, I'm linking up with some of my favorites--Erika, Narci and Andrea-and bringing you a few things I've been loving this week!

FATHER'S DAY WEEKEND | 2019

Happy Wednesday, friends!  I wanted to share some of our fun from Father's Day weekend today.  We were split between two states but we all had a big time!

So backing up a little.  For Christmas, the boys made me little coupons that said things like "This coupon is good for one hug" or "This coupon is good for one weekend by yourself."  As much as I love a hug, I also love a weekend to myself!  So they all decided that Father's Day weekend would be a great one to give me a free weekend.  They would head to Alexandria, Louisiana to see Craig's parents on Friday afternoon and would come back on Monday.  And I would get all that time to do WHATEVER I WANTED.

I had so many ideas for what I could do during all this free time, y'all.  In the beginning, I was anxious to knock out some projects, enjoy not having to clean up everyone's junk all weekend and just do absolutely nothing if I wanted.  But earlier in the week, I'd decided I wanted to do something even more fun.  I was going to drive to Texarkana to see my parents and surprise them for Father's Day!  I LOVE surprises.  I love being surprised and doing the surprising.  I knew my dad would think it was a great surprise too. (Spoiler Alert:  He did. ๐Ÿ˜‰)

But before I could do any of that, I had to get the boys packed and ready to go.

We started with haircuts.  They really needed haircuts.

AMANDA'S AMAZON HAUL | #2

It's been a couple of months since I've done an Amazon Haul and let me tell you...I've racked up quite a random assortment of Amazon goodies since then.  So I thought I'd give you a peek at the good stuff...and the weird stuff..that has shown up on my doorstep over the past 2 months.  ;)

(And in case you missed my first Amazon Haul, you can see that HERE.)

So right up front, I've got to admit that if I showed you every single thing I've primed in the past 2 months, we'd be here all day.  I'm a very consistent primer.  ๐Ÿ˜‰  So here are a few of my favorites.

LET'S TALK...MAKEUP.

When I opened up my IG stories a few weeks ago for y'all to ask some questions I got a lot of random ones (which I loved) but I also got a lot about the makeup that I use and/or if I could give a tutorial.  Let me stop right there and say that I'll most likely never be doing any kind of video tutorial.  Like ever.  I don't feel worthy, I hate my voice on camera and feel like I'd do you a much bigger favor by pointing you in the direction of people who give ME tutorials. ๐Ÿ˜‚ (Here's a great one.)

FRIDAY FAVORITES #98.

Happy Friday, y'all!  We are checking off Week 1 of summer break!  This week the boys had baseball camp Monday through Wednesday and baseball games on Wednesday and Thursday nights which kept us doing just enough to keep away the stir-crazy.

MAY BOOK REVIEW | 2019

It's that time again!  All the book lovers say amen!

Today is my May book review!

So last month, I read 4 books and when I say READ I actually mean it!  Or at least for one of them, I mean it. One I sat by the pool and read on my Kindle and the other 3 were my usual Audible books.  I LOVE to sit by the pool and read an actual book.  And as much as I love reading real books with pages to turn, I may love my Kindle just a little bit more.  I never thought I'd say it, but it's true.  Times they are a-changin'.  (You've got to read that with a southern accent.)

I recommend all of these books, especially if you are looking for fun, chick-lit, beach reads.  These should definitely be added to your list.

AMANDA ANSWERS | PART 2

Hey there, friends!  Welcome to my first summer post of 2019!!  Whoohoo!!  I want to say you can expect more posts from me this summer as opposed to how it's been this school year.  Yes.  I WANT to say that.  And I have high hopes.  But I'm learning to stop promising things when it comes to this blog because it really does come after all the other things.

What other things, you ask? (Or you didn't and I'll just tell you anyway. haha)  Well, that leads me straight into my first question of...

Today I've got Part 2 of my Amanda Answers series.  (You can find Part 1 HERE.)

So let's get to it.

MEMORIAL DAY WEEKEND | 2019

Friends.  Today Matthew "graduates" from 5th grade and I am trying not to lose it.  I honestly didn't think I'd be this way but knowing that he's done with this huge chapter in his life is wrecking me.  So I'm trying to focus on happy things instead like our Memorial Day weekend!

Craig was in Nashville from Thursday to Sunday working a football camp so he missed all the fun.  He ALWAYS has a camp on Memorial Day weekend which is such a bummer so I always have to go stag to the infamous Wall Party that Erika and her neighbors throw every year. :(

Love these pretty girls!

A NIGHT WITH THE ROUGHRIDERS & MATTHEW IS 11!

Although my hubs was a football player for 20+ years of his life, we are a baseball family.  Yes, one of my boys plays flag football and the other is finally starting to show some interest.  But I have a feeling baseball will always be their #1.  And I am 1000% ok with that.  It's safer and, in my opinion, it's just more fun to watch when you aren't worried about someone you love getting a concussion or being paralyzed with every play.  ;)

Don't get me wrong.  I like football a lot...when I take the time to sit down and watch a game.  But it's just not as fun as it used to be when my guy was down there on the field.  (Ok, on the sidelines usually but still.  ๐Ÿ˜‰)  And it also helped when you knew all the players on the team personally. Now THAT was fun.
