WHAT'S UP WEDNESDAY | SEPTEMBER

Happy Wednesday, friends!  Hard to believe we are just a few days away from October!  Doesn't it feel like it was JUST New Year's?  (No?  Just me?)  It's crazy to think we are just 3 months away from 2020!  I started thinking about that the other day and just couldn't believe it.  I swear the older I get the more time seems to just whiz right past me.

But I'm already getting off on a tangent so let me get back to what we're here for today.  It's another What's Up Wednesday with Shay and Sheaffer where we answer all sorts of questions about what we've been up to lately and what we're planning next month.  I love seeing what everyone else is up to so if you leave a comment here and you've also blogged WUW, please leave your link and I'll check it out!

FRIDAY FAVORITES #106

Oh happy Friday!  This week seems to be one of those that has gone by in a blur and I keep hearing myself saying "Wait, WHAT day is it?".  

I seriously forget what I'm doing all the time.  I even told my mom the other day that I was worried about my memory lately because I forget things within a split second.  I'll go to google something and by the time I get the browser open, I've entirely forgotten what it was I was going to look up.  Is that normal?  Ugh.  Just one more thing to add to my list of worries!

Anyway, its Friday Favorites day and for once, I didn't forget about that! ;)  So let's get started.

SCARIEST NIGHT OF OUR LIVES.

Oh my goodness, friends.  Where to even start.  It has been quite an emotional weekend around here.  Here goes my second post in a row talking about something horrible that will stay with us forever.

So.

I think a lot of you probably saw my posts on Facebook and Instagram about a Friday the 13th we will never forget and I just wanted to say thank you for all the kind words left in the comments on those.  It was the scariest situation that any of my family has ever been.

I gave you the abbreviated version on social media but for those of you want the full story, here it is.

Matthew had a baseball game Friday night at 8.  Craig and Matthew left around 7 because they had to get there early to warm up (Craig is the head coach) and so Mason and I waited a bit and got there around 7:50.  Mason wanted to bring his scooter to the game that night which was fine with me.  He likes to ride around in the big open area between all the fields.

18 years later.

It's been 18 years since that terrible, awful, heartbreaking, earth-shattering day.  I can't remember if I've ever shared the story of where I was and what I was doing when I found out about the attacks so I thought that in honor of today, I'd tell you my story and hope you'll share some of yours as well.

AUGUST BOOK REVIEW | 2019

Welcome back, friends!  Yay for Friday, yay for (almost) Fall and yay for Book Review Day!  Right?!

If you're shaking your head no right now on the book review thing because you just aren't a reader, it's ok.  Come back next week. :)  But for the record, I don't have time to be a "reader" much anymore either.  I'm an audiobook girl, which most of you know if you have been following along for the past few years, but for those of you who somehow found your way into my little part of the internet today, then I just wanted you to know that.  And that audiobooks are AMAZING.  Seriously, the best thing to happen to the busy mom who loves to immerse herself in fictional worlds and other peoples' stories (because #nosy) but has absolutely zero time to zone out with a book.  (Ok, I could make time at night BUT...Bravo isn't going to watch itself, people.)

Hey there, lovely ladies and happy Tuesday!  

Is anyone else riding the struggle bus right now trying to adjust to their new fall schedules?  I'll be honest.  I'm not doing so hot!  (Shocking, I know. haha)  I've been trying to do too many things at once lately and spreading myself way too thin which means things are falling through the cracks.  And I hate that.
