FRIDAY FAVORITES #118

Happy Friday, y'all!  Another weekend is before us and as always, I'm not mad about it.  We have nothing planned (per use) which is how we like it.  All my kids want to do on the weekends is sleep late, hang out with their neighborhood buddies, play on the Xbox (Minecraft and Forza Horizon are their go-to's) and not have to be anywhere at a certain time.  I typically spend my time purging a closet or reorganizing junk drawers...or pinning things on Pinterest that gets me all inspired and then before I know it, its 5pm on Saturday night and now I'm too tired.  Haha.  Oh, the things that thrill me these days. ;)

THURSDAY THOUGHTS: THE BACHELOR

Ok. I told y'all yesterday I'd be back today with some thoughts on the Bachelor up until this point and OMG.  This season is crazy.

There.  That's Thought #1.

Thought #2 is that this post took way longer than it should have because I got sucked in by all the memes out there.  😂😂😂

STEPPING UP MY SKINCARE GAME

Ok, girls.  You've seen me post about it frequently.  You've even HEARD me talk about it (while overcoming my fear of Instagram speaking) last week. But today I'm dedicating the entire blog post to what I'm affectionately calling my new Big Girl Skincare Routine.

A few weeks, ago I posted a little about my skincare routine and what I was using at the time.  (It was in my All-Stars of 2019 Favorites post HERE if you want to check it out.)  I did tell you that my routine changes frequently because I feel like I'm just always on the hunt for new and better products...while holding on tight to favorites...but I'm also a little hesitant about spending a small fortune on this stuff.

HOWEVER.

I'm 38 years old now.  My skin is aging much quicker thank I'd like (especially my eyes and neck--thank you tanning beds from 2001) and I just decided its time to invest in my skin a little more.  I went into this knowing that there isn't a cream or serum on this planet that will take 10 years off my face in 3 months or 6 months or even a year.  We are all continually aging so really, we just want to soften the effects and maybe slow them down. And there are LEGIT products out there that will do that.

Which brings me too...

Colleen Rothschild.  I guess all my gushing about their products lately caught their attention because they asked if I'd be interested in partnering with them to share my new routine!

Why yes, Colleen.  Yes, I would. #thankyouforasking

Hello Monday and Happy Martin Luther King, Jr. day! I'm here to day with some Monday Musings because I haven't done an official one of these in a while and thought it'd be a fun way to catch up on some bits and pieces of things going on around here lately.

FRIDAY FAVORITES #117.

Hey girl heyyyyy!!  Lord have mercy.  I am so glad it's Friday!  My house has been in complete disarray all week long because I ran out of time for all my projects last weekend (cleaning and reorganizing) and had to stop in the middle because Monday came!  Stupid Mondays.  I cannot wait to put my house back together!!  Saturday and Sunday--it is ON.

For all the procrastinators or cleaning fiends who need a break from washing, dusting, and organizing Bored Panda has put together a list of hilarious cleaning

CATCHING UP: CHRISTMAS 2019

Well, it's over.  Christmas has come and gone and I am always a little depressed when it leaves us.  Everything just looks so blah after Christmas.  My house looks dark and boring. The neighborhoods slowly start to go from colorful to ordinary. It's no fun.  Not to mention all the after-Christmas things that need to be done.

Take down decorations. (painful)
Redecorate your house and try to remember where everything goes.
Clean up all the wrapping paper/boxes/candy wrappers. Schedule a bulk trash pickup.
Clear out (or eat..) all the junk food and leftovers.
And then add "lose 10 pounds of holiday weight" to your to-do list. 😂

Sound familiar?

This year was no different but we completely enjoyed our Christmas while it was here!

The day before Christmas Eve, I took the boys to get haircuts.  Mason was just coming off a 24 hour virus of some sort (you can still see it in his eyes I think!) but was acting 100% and didn't have a fever so off we went.  He was so pumped about how it turned out.  Anytime he lets me take a normal picture of him where he's not trying to turn his face inside out means he's feelin' cute.  haha

2019 FAVORITES! | MEGA ALL-STARS EDITION

Happy New Year, friends!! I hope everyone has had a great start to this new decade!  I still can't believe it is 2020.  It feels so futuristic even to say it.  I still remember all the ridiculous Y2K pandemonium from 20 years ago like it was yesterday.  (To this day, I still have no idea what that was really all about. I just remember thinking everyone seemed to be overreacting. 😂)  But I am excited to start a new year and I just pray that it's a good one.

Now on to the fun stuff!  Just like last year, I decided to round up a list of some top favorites from this year. Some of these are repeats from my 2018 All-Stars list.  Which means they are REALLY good. ;)  And some are new products or finds that are really recent but managed to score high enough marks with me that they landed themselves here with the All-Stars.  So let's take a look!
