Friday Favorites #33.

{Edit:  I decided to link this post up to Shay and Erika's Workin' It Wednesday:  Holiday Planning too so yes it was written last Friday.  ;) }

TGIF, y'all!!

I laughed way too hard at that.

Anyway, like all Fridays, I'm linking up with Erika, Andrea and Narci for Friday Favorites!

It's the first week of November which means Christmas is right around the corner.  I haven't decorated for Christmas yet but I am ITCHING to start.  And Christmas decor is my FAVORITE!  So today, I've got a Christmas theme going on.

Sometimes I feel like my Christmas decor goal is for my house to look like the Home Alone house.  You know how it seemed like every single part of that house was just full of Christmas touches?  I love that! Even the wallpaper was red and green and the stairs had that dark wine-colored carpet.

It's obviously not the exact decor I'd choose but I loved the cheery coziness of it all.  So I love to try and bring in festive touches to all parts of my house.

Which leads me to my favorites for this week...

I love switching out my comforter during the holidays for a festive one.  You can do this super cheap by just getting a solid red comforter or duvet cover.  That's what I did last year (check this one for under $50) or go with a plaid pattern or the buffalo check print I got this year.

How pretty is this one?!  I love that it's reversible too.

Reversible Duvet Cover here
And this cute quilt set is so festive!

I am a huge sucker for a Christmas throw pillow.  Why are they all so cute?!  How do you even choose?

There were just too many favorites for me to spotlight just one or two so I just added them all.  So if you see something you like, just click it to shop.  So many of these are from TJ Maxx too which means amazing deals!!

And since we're talking throw pillows, we can't forget about those throw blankets.

These gorgeous ones are on sale now.  Check out the inside lining.  So cozy!

And don't forget about these!  My kids have been fighting over the one I bought here the other day.

Yes.  That says $14.99.  #grabtwo

These are super cute too!  Can you have too many blankets?  I don't think so.  (Did anyone else say that in their best Kevin McAllister voice?  Because I did.)

Last year I bought a super cute shower curtain set for the bathroom connected to my craft room.  The set I got is no longer available but I found a few others that are cute!  The pictures never do them justice.  I promise they are always cuter in person.

And a few more favorite pieces that are calling my name!

Galvanized Tiered Stand (so fun to decorate for each new season)

We all know by now that I am a little obsessed with buffalo plaid.  This cutie needs to come live with me!

And these mugs are just the CUTEST!!  The last thing I need is another mug in my cabinet but for $6, I need one for me and everyone on my Christmas list.  Find them here!

And since we are talking Christmas, I can't pass up this opportunity to plug my shop!

I am already up to my elbows in Christmas signs which is most likely what has gotten me feeling all festive already.  So here are a few of my Christmas favorites.

{And remember, my turnaround time is about 2 weeks right now so get those orders in ASAP!  I've got great teacher gifts in the shop too!}

Find all the following items HERE.  Message me with questions but most questions can be answered by clicking on "Item Details" in each listing.

One thing I'm adding in since I posted this last Friday is our Star From Afar tradition.  You've probably heard of it.  It's basically the same concept as the Elf on the Shelf except you just move the star each night.  The star does NOT have to go bobbing for apples in the sink or wrap the Christmas tree in toilet paper.  ;)

It comes with a book about the true meaning of Christmas as well as a little wooden nativity scene that you can set up.  Each morning, the kids take the wise men to hunt for the star and place once they find it, they can set the wise men next to it.  The star will end up back at the Nativity Scene on Christmas.

I love incorporating that into our Elf tradition.  The kids love to hunt for both things and we also get to bring a little more of Jesus into our home and that's always the best thing.  :)

You can find it here!  :)

And since it is still just a little early for a Merry Christmas, I'll just leave you with a see you next week!  ;)

And if you missed my posts from earlier in the week be sure to check out my Monday Morning Mashup and my very first Confessions link up! And click here for last week's Friday Favorites list!

  2. Wow! I just found your blog on the Friday Favorites linkup- so glad I did! I started getting into the whole Christmas pillow and sign thing last year and this post made me so excited to take my decorations out again! I think either this year or next year, too, we will dial it up a notch and go with the festive comforter, etc :)

  5. Love this post! So festive! I really want festive bedding but our walls are painted a light teal/blue so I'm too worried it will clash bad, and I love the more traditional colors like red/green vs blues. Those plaid mugs are sooo adorable and girl you are so talented with your signs!!!

  7. I love your wine glasses! I need to get on and order a couple for my friends. All the snow we have plus those throw pillows and blankets have me itching to put up Christmas decor as well... but dang it I do love Thanksgiving, so I'm waiting. :)

  8. Great picks for Christmas decor. I bought a really cute red buffalo plaid duvet cover last year, but discovered that flannel is just too hot for a Houston winter. So I may look for something new this year. Have a wonderful weekend!
