WINNER WINNER, DOG HUNTING & WEEKEND FUN!!

HELLO MONDAY!

meme-cleaning

Hahaha.  Funny but kind of true too... ;)

Craig and I were supposed to have been in Phoenix this weekend for a charity golf tournament while his parents watched the boys here at home.  So this is was our first big plan that was ruined by this pandemic.  I'm not really sure how it will affect our summer vacation.  Not that we have anything scheduled yet.  It's all been put on hold indefinitely and I'm trying to figure out how best to go about getting in a vacation safely this summer.  We shall see.

Anyway, it was a gorgeous weekend over here in Mckinney and we took full advantage every chance we got.  Here are a few pictures before I get to what you probably all came here for. ;)

After I finished all my Etsy orders for the week, I packed up my computer and brought it out into the sunroom to finish up.  I listed new earrings in the shop (so pretty!), posted some sales over in the FB group, worked on some sign designs that need to be finished this week, and continued my online stalking of all the doggy rescues in my area.

I have certain criteria for the dog we want though so it's really limiting my findings. I just want to make sure its the perfect dog FOR US.  Our last two pups were precious to us for over 15 years but they were high energy, high maintenance, and shed all over the dang place. I'm kind of looking for the opposite of that this time around. 😂 We would absolutely, 100% prefer to adopt not shop but it's taking a lot longer to find the right dog and then try to compete with the 30 other people who also want to give it a home. So we'll see what happens.  I'm praying the right dog comes along soon!  I'll be updating on this as we go along, for sure!

In other news...the boys did this a lot this weekend.  Buying a house with a pool was the best decision we've ever made. 😉

Mason just turned 10 and Matthew will be 12 in a couple of weeks but they weigh the same now so Mason is starting to think it's cool that he can pick up his older brother. He's always trying to throw Matthew over his shoulder! 😂

They may have two completely different body types but they are still best buds!  So thankful they've had a built-in best friend during this quarantine!

Saturday morning, some of the girls from our Sunday School class got together in the elementary school parking lot near our house to meet up and chat.  We parked our chairs 6' away from each other in a big circle and got to enjoy some girl talk (everything from the best self-tanners to motorcycles...haha) for a couple of hours.  It was so nice!

Craig took the boys to Bahama Bucks to grab some snow cones that afternoon.  Matthew always always always gets blue raspberry and is always proud of that blue tongue.

On Sunday morning, I slept in while Craig joined our Sunday School class on Zoom (oops) but we all gathered together to watch the service online a little later.

I don't know how your kids do with watching church services online but it's very hard to keep my two focused.  We reign them in as best we can but there's still a lot of giggling and poking.

Sunday afternoon was spent doing more of the same.  I picked up some new floats from Walmart and we all stayed outside for most of the day.

Craig's really starting to have to work harder to get these boys in the air these days!  😂😂😂

And that was pretty much it.  Lazy, fun, and uneventful is how we roll.

  2. That pool looks great! We live on a lake but it is much to cold to go in or near the water yet.

  3. Good luck with the dog search! We have always had rescue/shelter dogs and they're the best! The pool looks like lots of fun...I remember those days of my husband throwing the kids up in the air. Hope you have a great week!
