FRIDAY FAVORITES! | 3.5.21

Happy Friday, y'all!! And Happy Spring Break to some of us! I am not sure how Spring Break arrived so fast but I'm totally here for it.

I'm back today with a fun list of Friday Favorites and you can bet that Spring Break is one of them!

It's hard to believe all the things that have taken place since Spring Break last year. It has been a full year since life as we knew it came to a screeching halt. The last pre-Covid outing we had was on the Friday of our Spring Break and the boys and I went with my mother-in-law to see Onward at the theater. I remember being a little nervous because Covid chatter was really starting to pick up, so we took plenty of hand sanitizer and Clorox wipes and sat up in the back corner. Two days later, everything was closed down. Boom.

Like a lot of you, I didn't mind being quarantined at home during those first couple of months. We put together tons of puzzles, we introduced the boys to the Harry Potter movies & the Goonies which made for lots of Family Movie Nights, we discovered our love for board games and we just made some pretty great memories. I finally put together my sunroom and basically lived out there for months until the heat finally drove me inside and there was, of course, endless pool time. It (obviously) wasn't all great times though but we definitely made the best of the situation and I'm thankful for that.

But now, things are looking up! There is a light at the end of this tunnel and I pray that we can get our nation back on track soon. ❤

I wish I could say we were doing something fabulous for Spring Break but--we're not. Craig's camp season has started up again with Elite 11 and we're so thankful for that! Last year, it was all shut down which was a huge bummer. So yay for getting back to what he loves!

And I just got back from my own little trip! If you follow me on Insta, you probably saw all my stories from last weekend with my girlfriends in Galveston. We had the best time just getting away for a few days and doing whatever the heck we wanted. It was amazing and I can't wait to recap the trip here on the blog, hopefully by next week.

But for now, here are a few peeks into our weekend because it was obviously a FAVORITE!

I partnered with Holiday Inn Club Vacations again which means they set us up in this gorgeous villa right on the beach at their Galveston Seaside Resort. Again, more on that in the big post that's coming but we were blown away with how beautiful and comfortable it was!

They had snacks, gifts, decorations, and even a bottle of champagne there to welcome us!

We shopped, ate, did some people watching, rode a giant Ferris Wheel and a roller coaster, watched movies, jammed out to some old school Mariah Carey, played some putt-putt, took a stroll on the beach...it was the best.

This top was a big favorite! It's lightweight and so soft and slightly oversized. Love! It was perfect for the 60-65 degree weather so it will be great as we head into spring!

I also picked up a new pair of Kendra Scott earrings at the cutest little boutique on The Strand called Dorothy May's. These gold heart hoops will be in heavy rotation.

Now if you're jumping on over to Pink Lily to check out that top I posted, these earrings are another fave! They have some CUTE earrings!! You can see them all HERE

And also...these slippers, y'all. They are on clearance for $12 in 3 colors. They are super spongey and cushiony and also rubber...so they aren't going to get stinky like my others tend to get. (Is that just me??) They are perfect for spring! They keep my feet warm without making them hot and I haven't worn any of my others since they arrived. (Not that I don't love all my others too! But these are just perfect for our weather right now.) I am a 7.5 and got a Medium. I'd say they are pretty true to size if not a tiny bit on the small side. A medium is supposed to fit a 7-8. These will sell out I'm sure so take advantage while you can!

I always use the code KATY20 at Pink Lily for 20% off.

I'm waiting on the rest of my Pink Lily haul to arrive so I'll show you all that next week.

Y'all, this cardigan is also a huge huge favorite. I've been wearing it pretty much nonstop since I got it last weekend but I can't find it anywhere online which is really a bummer because I would IMPLORE YOU to buy it if I could find it. My friend Dani got it at a boutique we went to on Saturday (she's wearing hers in the pic above this one) and then I wore it when I got cold later that night and didn't want to take it off. 😂 So went back to the boutique on Sunday before we left so I could grab my own. So glad we did!! I found a very similar one HERE on Amazon.

Moving on.

Ok, so I have an Apple Watch. I got it a few months ago. I don't love it. I don't hate it. I just am still getting used to it and figuring out what exactly it does that will make my life easier. I always have my phone next to me so I don't feel the need to use it all the much but regardless, I like wearing a watch. Plus, I think my watch face is cute. ;)

I did get this nicer band to switch to when I wanted to wear something a little dressier. (Doesn't it look good with my black leggings, fuzzy pink slippers and rumpled black t-shirt? Really classes it up, don't ya think? 😂)

I love the band though and it also comes in all gold, all silver, black and rose gold. This one is called "7 blades gold" if you're wondering. I was even able to take out the links on my own since it comes with the tools and instructions for how to do that. Under $20 too and it currently has a 10% off clickable coupon with it as well!

Next up on my favorites list is....my favorite Etsy order of the week! It belongs to this cute wine sprinkle-dipped wine glass! I only have 3 of these left so if you want one, come and get it while you can!

And did you see me post this next Amazon find in my Deals Group yesterday? I came across it when Amazon ever so kindly recommended it to me and I knew I had to have it! It is just this perfect little caddy that you can keep on your bathroom counter or wherever and I love that it has a clear top that will keep all your products from getting that gross layer of dust and makeup all over them! Do y'all deal with this problem too? I'm pretty pumped about this little lady showing up at my door this weekend.

And one last Amazon find. I saw one of my favorite influencers talk about this makeup brush cleaner this week and since I'd just run out of the one I was using, I decided to try this instead. It is REALLY good, y'all. You just pour a little into a dish, dab your brush into it and then wipe it off onto a paper towel or washcloth until it's clean. It cleaned my brushes so fast and they dried within minutes. It does smell like rubbing alcohol so just be aware of that but it works so well!! No water needed. I'm loving it. This is a pretty cool product.

And finally, a little collagen talk before we go. (You know I love my collagen!!)

I get questions about what makes Modere's Liquid Collagen different and better than others a lot and I know that since it is a direct selling company people automatically tend to think every product that company has is snake oil. And there is nothing that gets my blood boiling more than assumptions without knowing the facts. 😬 I'm not sure why people have it out for direct selling companies but that's a whole other blog post. 😂 I would NEVER EVER EVER work for a company, promote a product or share a product unless I felt good about it. I've been approached with some weird stuff to share with y'all and it will never see the light of day on this blog even if the money was good. (Since I'm a smaller blogger, I get the weird things. Can't I get a sponsored post from like RayBan or Kendra Scott or even Home Chef or something? Dang. 😜)

Anyway, one of the biggest things I love about Modere is that they have legit studies that have been done on their collagen as a WHOLE. Like they had their entire product tested. How many other collagen companies have done that?? Modere stands out because they pride themselves on all the research and development that goes into these products. They are not saying things like "clinically proven ingredients" about their collagen, which is great and all but how about the whole dang product? Modere is saying here is a "clinically proven PRODUCT.". And I love that.

SHOW ME THE RESEARCH

So for those of you who want to see some research, here are a few links to some studies and things that you can check out and see for yourself. These are not awards or studies paid for by Modere. They are peer-reviewed, double-blind legitimate studies that have lead to worldwide recognition and awards.

Study: Study Shows Biocell Collagen Can Visibly Reduce Common Signs of Skin Aging in 12 Weeks
(They also called this "one of the most substantial studies of a skin health supplement".)

Award & Studies: Liquid Biocell Announced as Global Winner of 2015 NutraIngredients Award (huge in the industry)

Also in this article:

-- "Liquid BioCell receives industry and world-wide recognition as the 2015 NutraIngredients Readers Choice Winner for its efficacy, innovation, and research of its three flagship dietary supplements."

--In a twelve-week human bioavailability study, researchers found that within 28 days, daily intake of Liquid BioCell led to a 6000% increase of hyaluronic acid (HA) in the body. HA supports cartilage and joint-lubricating synovial fluid and has water-holding properties that are essential for hydration, which brings elasticity and firmness back to the skin.

--In an eight-week clinical trial, dryness nearly disappeared without the use of topical moisturizers. Plus, subjects experienced a significant increase in the skin’s collagen content, reduction in lines and wrinkles, and improvement in skin’s microcirculation, hydration, and skin tone.

--An in-vitro study concluded that Liquid BioCell goes an important step further- it helps reduce hyaluronidase, the enzyme that breaks down HA in the body, providing long-lasting suppleness to aging skin.

--Other clinical trials show that Liquid BioCell has a remarkably positive effect on joint mobility by reducing discomfort, helping to improve cartilage and connective tissues, and promoting joint lubrication. In an eight-week human clinical trial, 90% of subjects with chronic joint discomfort experienced a 40% improvement in physical activity. With continued use, many experienced significant improvement in mobility as well. A ten-week trial enrolling subjects at an advanced stage of discomfort showed that more than 70% experienced a significant reduction of joint discomfort, improving their daily activities.

Our CEO, Asma Ishaq, was appointed as chairmen of the board for the Collagen Stewardship Alliance which operates under the Trust Transparency Center. I'm pretty sure they vetted her pretty well before handing over that job title. She was also given the NutraChampions Lifetime Achievement award last year. (HUGE deal.)

I say all this because you don't know what you don't know. So I wanted y'all to see it for yourself so you'd feel confident in your purchases. So many of you are my customers and I want you to know I am thankful you have trusted my opinion and I want you to be extremely happy customers! These studies made me feel even better about these products after reading them.

If you want to see more about the products, you can head HERE (there are links to my favorite things towards the bottom of the post), you can check out the 3 or 4 Highlight Bubbles I have on my Instagram (@amandanall), or you can shop it all here (scroll down to click on "purchase now"). New customers will get $10 off their first order when they register for an account with my name or referral code (2617259). And as always, please feel free to message me on IG with questions! That is the #1 fastest way to get in contact with me for sure. There is also a new gut health product called Trebiotics that is backed by so much science that I'm still wrapping my head around it. If you're into gut health and probiotics and the overall wellness, message me about that!! I'll do a post on it soon. It's such a cool product.

If you've been wanting to try any of this out, I honestly say give it 90 days. Take before pics. Take after pics. You don't ever have to show them to anyone. But at least you'll have them and you may be surprised at what you see! I wish I had better before ones but I really didn't know how much my skin and hair would change! Stay consistent and take it as recommended. Set an alarm or reminder on your phone if you have to. It's super easy, the Biocell and the Trim taste great and it takes literally seconds to do each day. You can do this, friends.

That wraps up all the favorites from this week, y'all! I hope you guys have the best weekend, and for those of you who are going on Spring Break trips--yay!!! I'd love to hear where you're headed so I can live vicariously through you. ;)

Linking up with Erika and Andrea for Friday Favorites!

  2. Those earrings are adorable! Going to look at right now. I see they are Featherweight. I wonder if that's a whole line she has?? I love her earrings, but often can't wear them because they are too heavy for my lobes. Do they feel nice and light?

    1. Yes! For metal hoops they are pretty lightweight. I don’t even notice I have them on but then again I can handle heavier earrings usually. I’d hate the be like “they are so light!” and then you get them and are like “they are so heavy!”. 😂 So I’ll just say for me, I don’t think they are heavy at all.
