Happy Friday, friends!! Today is FAVORITES day!! I love Friday Favorites! I swear I find more cute/cool/must-have stuff on Fridays than any other day of the week thanks to some of my favorite bloggers!
And thanks to Narci, Erika and Andrea for hosting this awesome little linkup! They are some of my FAVORITE mamas!
So here are my first picks for 2018!
So here are my first picks for 2018!
I feel it's appropriate for my first Favorite of the new year to be a collection of funny memes because I JUST CAN'T GET ENOUGH. If I am ever in "a mood", all I have to do is either turn on Friends or search Pinterest for funny memes. Especially the autocorrect fails. Those are my favorites!!!
But here are some others that I hope will make you laugh today.
(Ummmm...yes. You absolutely can.)
Many years ago, I used to follow a blog called The Pink Lou Lou. She was amazing at hair and makeup. She dropped the blog a few years ago after she got crazy busy doing wedding hair and makeup and I was so sad because I LOVED her blog. Anyway, one day she recommended this product for your hair. She said it would give you major volume and help with "poofing" if you're into that. (Southern girls love a little poof.) And if you're not into poofing, then it'll give your roots the perfect lift.
She had really thin, fine hair and it was just one of her go-to products. I love to straighten my hair but when I do, it gets really flat and fine but it's also all pretty and straight. #whattodo Pair that with my super round face and it's not always my best look. So I grabbed some of this stuff and LOVED IT. I need a little volume at the top of my head to keep my face from looking like a beach ball.
I used to be spend so much time trying to figure out how I could get some "poof" into my hair and have it stay. I would tease, hairspray, watch YouTube videos...anything I could do to get some volume into my hair on the top without making it frizzy and thick on the ends.
Girls. THIS IS YOUR ANSWER.
So for a couple of years, I used it ALL.THE.TIME. I'm not sure why I stopped. I'm guessing it had to do with being a new mom and not caring all that much about how may hair looked.
But a couple of weeks ago, we went to my parent's house for Christmas with my extended family and I asked my mom if she had any dry shampoo. She didn't but she said "Oh I have this other stuff! All the girls at work got some together and we love it!" And she handed me the Osis Dust It Powder! It was a total flashback. I told her I used to use this all the time years ago!!
So I used it instead of the dry shampoo and I immediatley remembered why I used to be so obsessed with it. I ordered more that night and can't imagine ever NOT using it again.
It goes on in these waxy little flakes. You barely need any in order to get some slightly sticky texture. Just rub it in a little and give your hair a little scrunch and you now have volume!! And that stuff LASTS!
Grab it here, ladies! It's not expensive and it lasts forever.
So the next picture has been posted before. But it shows not only my earrings (Favorite #3) but also it was right after I used my Dust It Powder from #2! I don't get as poofy as I used to but I love the texture and root lift it gives! I was totally feeling my hair that day.
So my earrings in this picture are still a favorite because they are still on sale for only $20 AND I just got my new ones in in blue!
How gorgeous is that blue?! I can't wait to wear them! These earrings come in so many different colors. They are normally $36 but this $20 sale is awesome. If you've been wanting some, get them here before the sale ends! And I have no idea when it ends.
And if these are just a little too big, they have smaller ones! Find those here.
So many beautiful choices!! All products are clickable!
I wonder if that hair product would work on curly hair? I feel like my roots always get flat and the rest is a BIG proof...hints why I NEVER wear it down. Your hair looks GREAT!
ReplyDeleteLove all those earrings!
Those green earrings!!! Girl! Those are so cute!!
ReplyDeleteI’d love to comment but I’m off to order the powder!!! Gotta go!!
ReplyDeleteOMG hilarious memes are my jam! I could find myself looking at them for way too long some days! That book sounds horrific and good all at the same time but I'm worried I'd be bawling most of the time reading it! Loving your new items in your shop too!! Happy Weekend, I hope Mason stays sane while being home today :)
ReplyDeleteNineteen Minutes was the first book I read of Jodi Picoult’s. If you haven’t read any of her others you definitely should! I don’t like to pick favorites but Leaving Time tops the list. And it made me super obsessed with elephants. :) I’m telling you, you’ll love it!
ReplyDeleteJUST placed an order for the Osis stuff :) can't wait to try it because like you, with straight hair and a big round head, I need some POOF!!
ReplyDeleteI love those earrings. Those meme are killing me, SO funny! Happy Friday!

ReplyDeleteOoooo... I need one of those wine tumblers! So cute! I’m ordering the powder now! I used to have some like that too! I loved it.
ReplyDeleteJodi Picoult is one of my favorite authors. Be sure to read her book, The Storyteller. It's my favorite from her. Happy Weekend!
ReplyDeleteJodi Picoult has lots of great books but that’s definitely one if her best. They’re all pretty heavy. My Sister’s Keeper was great, I also loved Plain Truth.
