Friday Favorites #41.

Happy Friday, friends!!  Today is FAVORITES day!!  I love Friday Favorites!  I swear I find more cute/cool/must-have stuff on Fridays than any other day of the week thanks to some of my favorite bloggers!

And thanks to Narci, Erika and Andrea for hosting this awesome little linkup!  They are some of my FAVORITE mamas!

So here are my first picks for 2018!

I feel it's appropriate for my first Favorite of the new year to be a collection of funny memes because I JUST CAN'T GET ENOUGH.  If I am ever in "a mood", all I have to do is either turn on Friends or search Pinterest for funny memes.  Especially the autocorrect fails.  Those are my favorites!!!

But here are some others that I hope will make you laugh today.

(Ummmm...yes.  You absolutely can.)

Many years ago, I used to follow a blog called The Pink Lou Lou.  She was amazing at hair and makeup. She dropped the blog a few years ago after she got crazy busy doing wedding hair and makeup and I was so sad because I LOVED her blog.    Anyway, one day she recommended this product for your hair.  She said it would give you major volume and help with "poofing" if you're into that.  (Southern girls love a little poof.)  And if you're not into poofing, then it'll give your roots the perfect lift.

She had really thin, fine hair and it was just one of her go-to products.  I love to straighten my hair but when I do, it gets really flat and fine but it's also all pretty and straight.  #whattodo  Pair that with my super round face and it's not always my best look.  So I grabbed some of this stuff and LOVED IT.  I need a little volume at the top of my head to keep my face from looking like a beach ball.

I used to be spend so much time trying to figure out how I could get some "poof" into my hair and have it stay.  I would tease, hairspray, watch YouTube videos...anything I could do to get some volume into my hair on the top without making it frizzy and thick on the ends.

Girls.  THIS IS YOUR ANSWER.

So for a couple of years, I used it ALL.THE.TIME.  I'm not sure why I stopped.  I'm guessing it had to do with being a new mom and not caring all that much about how may hair looked.

But a couple of weeks ago, we went to my parent's house for Christmas with my extended family and I asked my mom if she had any dry shampoo.  She didn't but she said "Oh I have this other stuff!  All the girls at work got some together and we love it!"  And she handed me the Osis Dust It Powder! It was a total flashback.  I told her I used to use this all the time years ago!!

So I used it instead of the dry shampoo and I immediatley remembered why I used to be so obsessed with it.  I ordered more that night and can't imagine ever NOT using it again.

It goes on in these waxy little flakes.  You barely need any in order to get some slightly sticky texture.  Just rub it in a little and give your hair a little scrunch and you now have volume!!  And that stuff LASTS!

Grab it here, ladies!  It's not expensive and it lasts forever.

So the next picture has been posted before.  But it shows not only my earrings (Favorite #3) but also it was right after I used my Dust It Powder from #2!  I don't get as poofy as I used to but I love the texture and root lift it gives!  I was totally feeling my hair that day.

So my earrings in this picture are still a favorite because they are still on sale for only $20 AND I just got my new ones in in blue!

How gorgeous is that blue?!  I can't wait to wear them!  These earrings come in so many different colors.   They are normally $36 but this $20 sale is awesome.  If you've been wanting some, get them here before the sale ends!  And I have no idea when it ends.

And if these are just a little too big, they have smaller ones!  Find those here.

So many beautiful choices!!  All products are clickable!

I'm working on getting a new book review post done about all the books I've read since my last one.  But I had to tell you about this one I just finished.  It's called Nineteen Minutes and it's about a school shooting.  The book deals with the before, during and aftermath of a school shooting that leaves ten students dead and many more wounded.  It's heartwrenching of course but it also gives a look into the background of the killer and why he felt he had to do what he did.

I highly recommend it.  I couldn't stop listening (I'm an Audible girl).

Follow me on Goodreads HERE if you are intersted in keeping up with everything I'm reading! I'm a MAJOR bookworm!  I listened to 39 new books on Audible this year plus re-listenend to at least 10 other favorites.  And when I say I don't have time to read "real" books anymore I'm really not kidding.  I think I read maybe 4?  I love to read real books but with the Etsy stuff, it's just so easy to listen to a great book while I'm painting or glittering.

The Etsy shop has new stuff!  Have you seen!?

These little stainless steel wine tumblers are the BEST!!  Personalize them or leave them blank.   They also come with a straw which...I mean...who doesn't like to drink their wine with a straw.  ;)

I've done quite a few coffee tumblers this week!  Choose your glitter color and any little saying in any color.

And man...there must be a ton of New Year's Resolutions to drink more water this year because I can't keep these bottles in stock!!

I've got plans for new signs soon!  I AM taking custom orders on signs that are not huge right now but I'll have to cut them off once I get so many.  Message me on Etsy to discuss.

I love these signs so much and think the small 5.5x12s would be awesome to add your "word of the year" to so you could sit it on a shelf in your office or in your room as a reminder all year long.

All signs available in the shop now!

So that's it for today, friends!  Mason is on Day 2 of staying home from school because he's got a nasty cough and possibly bronchitis.  :(  He is not happy because he feels fine other than the cough.  This is my kid who gets insanely bored if he's not doing something entertaining every second of the day.  So Lord help us all day today!  Mama's gotta work so he's going to have to entertain himself with books, the iPad and his daddy.  ;)

Happy Friday!!

  5. Nineteen Minutes was the first book I read of Jodi Picoult’s. If you haven’t read any of her others you definitely should! I don’t like to pick favorites but Leaving Time tops the list. And it made me super obsessed with elephants. :) I’m telling you, you’ll love it!

  13. Jodi Picoult has lots of great books but that’s definitely one if her best. They’re all pretty heavy. My Sister’s Keeper was great, I also loved Plain Truth.
