Happy Wednesday, friends!  I'm back today with another edition of What's Up Wednesday with Shay and SheafferIt's been a long, very hot, busy August so let's get to it!

I'm still on the Keto train, friends!  So I know what I'm NOT eating!  #saynotocarbs haha

I tried out this awesome zero (net) carb pizza crust last week and OMG it's the best!  I'm so excited I can have pizza guilt-free now!  It comes as a pre-made crust so all you do is slap the sauce and toppings on it and pop it in the oven for 15ish minutes.

The crust is from Thin Slim Foods and it's only available to order online.  (Y'all know I'm also crazy about their zero carb bread and bagels too.)

Also on the menu lately...

...scrambled eggs, sausage, jalapenos and cheese.  I've been adding it to a low carb tortilla (Mission brand, fajita size, 4 net carbs) with some salsa as well as eating it alone.  So yummy.

For more on my Keto journey, along with all the things you need to know in order to get started yourself, just head to this post HERE.

I've got a follow-up Keto post coming soon though (seriously this time!) so I'll save the rest of what I'm eating for that.  So come back! ;)

Look what I found cleaning out a junk drawer the other day!!  My old Blockbuster card from college!

Ahhhhhh!!  College days were THE BEST!!!!  Can I go back???

And since school started this month, I thought it'd be fun to go back and find the boys' first day of school pictures from Kindergarten.

Look at my sweet Matthew Jay on his first day!

And this was the first day of Kinder for Mason, first day of 2nd grade for Matthew and first day of school for me when I was working as a PE coach at another local elementary school.

(By the way, I LOVE these pants.  They are Zella's "Move" pants but have been sold out for a long time.  Very similar pants HERE.)

And for comparison's sake, 2015 vs 2019.

(Also, I feel like I need to stress that Matthew begged to wear that too small shirt for the first day in 2nd grade and also went through a phase where all he would wear were long-sleeved shirts with the sleeves shoved all the way up like that with his shorts.  I let it ride.  ;)

I bought this cute crossbody on Amazon this summer and I'm obsessed with it. I use it more than any other purse I own because it's just the best size, I love a crossbody and that color is gorgeous!  But I'm realizing I need it in a color other than blue and thankfully it comes in 20 different colors!

These cute bags are just $16.95 and I'm thinking of scooping up the black, nude, stone, mustard...or all four? ;)

We're back in action on the field!  We have 4 games this week and are so ready for a new season!

Craig has officially become the head coach of Matthew's new team and that's so fun!

And since it's been 100 degrees around here, the boys have been in the pool whenever possible after school.  It's been so hot though, they tend to wait until at least 6 or 7 before jumping in.  I'm so over this heat.

8am baseball games. ;)

My Etsy shop is in high gear right now!  I added these cute teacher signs earlier this month that I'm loving!

Fall signs orders are starting to roll in too!

Plus, I just added these cute travel mugs! I've been drinking out of mine a lot lately.

(I get lots of DMs about my rug.  I LOVE it.  You can see it HERE.)

I've also restocked these favorites from last year!

I absolutely love these confetti glitter travel mugs Double-walled, great for hot or cold drinks and they just look happy, right?!

And I'm also working on something new!  I got the itch to add a new product to the shop a couple of weeks ago so...I'll soon be adding leather and cork earrings!!  I've been a huge fan of the leather (and faux leather) earring trend for a while and finally, I just said to myself, "Why don't I just make them too?".  And so I have.  I've been spending every spare second that I have trying to figure it all out, find suppliers, test out the best products and's been a lot.  Definitely a lot more than I realized it would be when I got this idea.  But I'm excited about it and can't wait to fully launch this new little branch in the shop very soon!

You can check out my full shop HERE.

I get to see my childhood BFF this weekend!  It's her 38th birthday and her hubs is throwing her a birthday party/housewarming party because they just moved.  I can't wait to see her!  She's a hotshot vet and lives about an hour away so we don't see each other very often but when we do, it's like no time has passed.  That's how you know it's a true friendship. Love this girl!

I talked about a couple of shows I'm currently into on my Monday Musings post so if you've read that, then you know Big Brother and 90210 are filling up my DVR at the moment.

I'm embarrassed to say that I'm also watching Bachelor in Paradise.  Are you watching?  If you are, can I talk about JPJ real quick?  John Paul Jones completely lost his $h#% on poor Derek last night because he's insanely jealous that Tayshia likes Derek now instead of him. This dude was off his rocker.  I no longer find him funny.  His quirkiness just crossed over into the "I cannot stand him" territory.  And what is with the throwing up and gagging all the time?  It is going to take a very particular woman to want to spend her life with him, that's for sure.  Weirdest dude ever.

As for what I'm reading/listening to, you can see my latest book review HERE.  (Seriously, the BEST month for books in a very long time!!!)

I had to get Matthew some new jeans the other day so I drove over to Old Navy to grab a pair.  While I was there, I picked up a few things for myself.  Like this cute tee dress that is so comfy!  (Wearing a small.)

(Dirty mirror!)

I grabbed it in both the black and the black/white striped.   I also picked up several of these tees and these too because they were the softest, most comfortable tees ever! (Wearing a small.)

Old Navy has the best tees!!!  (And the best prices.)

Also a favorite.  These shoes that I told you about in my Monday Musings.  I wore them to Mason's game last night and they are crazy comfortable and really cute! Plus they come in a bunch of different colors and are around $30. You'll love them!

Cooler temps and decorating for fall!!  I'm going to pretend that I don't already have a few (small) fall touches out around my house already. ;)  September is basically fall and fall means the start of the holiday season, right?!  October through December is such a great time of the year!!  So one more month and we're there! ;)

That's it for this month's WUW!  See you back here on Friday for some Favorites!

  1. I just pulled out one of my "fall" cups yesterday to start using!! I think it's probably my fave that you've made!!

  2. Thanks for the reminder to make homemade breakfast burritos. They make school mornings so much easier.

  3. I’m also (embarrassingly) watching BIP. Couldn’t agree with you more on JPJ. I felt bad for Derek bc JPJ wouldn’t even let him talk. There’s been so much drama this season— it’s so dumb but so good haha! Also...LOVE that you’re gonna make earrings! Leather earrings are my favorite! Can’t wait to see what you come up with!

I love hearing from you! Drop a comment below!
