FRIDAY FAVORITES #118

Happy Friday, y'all!  Another weekend is before us and as always, I'm not mad about it.  We have nothing planned (per use) which is how we like it.  All my kids want to do on the weekends is sleep late, hang out with their neighborhood buddies, play on the Xbox (Minecraft and Forza Horizon are their go-to's) and not have to be anywhere at a certain time.  I typically spend my time purging a closet or reorganizing junk drawers...or pinning things on Pinterest that gets me all inspired and then before I know it, its 5pm on Saturday night and now I'm too tired.  Haha.  Oh, the things that thrill me these days. ;)

#not 😂😂

But let's get to Friday Favorites where I link up with Erika, Narci and Andrea to discuss some favorites from the week.

Tiles.  Do y'all have a Tile?  These things are so awesome.  Earlier this week, I posted a great deal for Tiles in my Daily Deals Facebook Group and I couldn't resist grabbing some myself.  For starters, we lose our Amazon Firestick remote CONSTANTLY in our living room.  I don't understand what is so hard about "Just set it back on the coffee table when you're done" but apparently, it is too hard for my children to figure out.  So the thing is constantly lost and we always have to go through the commotion of looking under the couch, in the couch cushions, under the rug, etc.  It's annoying to say the least.  So I've been saying that I need something to help me locate this remote!

So when I saw the Tiles deal, I knew I had to try it.

I didn't realize that there was more than one kind of Tile.  They have the original Tiles that clip on to your keychain or wherever and they also have thin, rectangular Tiles that look similar to a credit card that can slip into your wallet or your passport case, for example.  Genius.  But the STICKER Tiles are what we needed.  They are just these little round things that have a sticky back so you can put them on remotes (or wherever else you can think of).  The angels were singing!  I love solutions to #firstworldproblems.

It was super easy to figure out too.  Peel the backing off the sticker tile and press and hold it on whatever you're attaching it to for 30 seconds.  Now at first, my Tile seemed like it was not going to stay on that remote since it is slightly curved.  I was thinking I'd have to tape it down.  But then I read that it takes 24 hours for it to fully bond to the surface and the next day, that thing was pretty stuck.  I didn't go TRYING to knock it off but it seemed pretty solid.  So just FYI when you're applying yours.

And then for it to work, you have to download the Tile app, get your phone next to it and push the button on the tile once.  It connects, runs your through a couple of questions and you're done!  It was so easy.  Lose your remote?  Just go to the app and tap "find".  The tile starts to play this little musical number and there ya go!  Another great thing about it is that you can tap the button on the Tile twice and it will ring your phone in case you can't remember where you put it down.  Even if the phone is on silent, it rings! How many times do you walk into a room and go "Where'd I put my phone..."  #allthetime

Anyway, my mom's birthday is today so I went ahead and got HER a Tile too but I got her the one that connects to your keychain.  She has lost her keys before and tends to panic quickly if she can't find them in her purse the second she starts digging for them so I thought this would help. (Happy Birthday, Mom!)

Ok, so I've been seeing influencers talk about these "no muffin top" undies for months now and I finally clicked a link and checked them out for myself.  And they really are nice!  For starters, they are on Amazon so yay for prime shipping!  But look how pretty they are too!

Sizing-wise, here's what I think.  (But we've all got different sized tushies so keep that in mind.)  I'm a size 4/27 in most pants so I chose the smalls.  They fit fine but were just a TINY bit tighter than I wanted. I really did love them though so I ordered two more sets in different colors and got the medium this time.  They won't be in until tomorrow so I can't compare the two sizes yet but I think the mediums will be perfect.  They actually remind me of some comfy Soma undies I have except these are a fraction of the price--for 3!  Random but definitely a FAVORITE this week!

Last weekend, Matthew wanted my special chocolate chip cookies (courtesy of Pilsbury) and that skinny little 6th grader deserved a treat so I obliged.  I got to use my new 3 tiered cooling rack I got a few weeks ago and I really love this thing!  I've always just made do with a small rack that came with one of my random cooking appliances but this rack is so much nicer! Plus it folds up flat for easy storage and is only $13.

I released two new earring shapes this week in my Etsy shop!  I know I talked about this on Instagram several times this week and on my What's Up Wednesday post but I just listed the oval ones!  I still haven't had time to update all my listings to include all the shapes available but just so you know, you can request any of my earrings in any shape you see. :)

I love this black cork with specks of gold throughout.  These are thick, sturdy but super lightweight.

(Also a favorite?  The IG filter on this picture.  😂)

I also listed these gorgeous scalloped shaped white cork earrings this week and love them equally.  I wore them to Matthew's band concert on Tuesday night.

Y'all, my turnaround times are pretty speedy right now because I've managed to stay caught up since I reopened again after Christmas.  Things usually start to pick up fast though in mid-February because of spring break cups, teacher appreciation and then end of the year teacher gifts.  So now is a great time to order anything and get it much faster than normal!

Attention fellow bloggers!  I'm working on starting a new series that involves YOU!  This would be a 20 Questions type interview where we would swap blogs for the day and answer the 20 questions given.  This would be a great way to introduce you to my audience and a great way to introduce me to yours!  If you're looking to grow your readership and this sounds like something you'd like to do, please drop your blog link in the comments and I'll start checking them out to see what might be a good fit.  I've already got a list started from when I asked this question a while back in my Deals Group on FB too so I'd love for you to add to it!

Have a great weekend, friends!
