FRIDAY FAVORITES & CATCHING UP.

Hello Friday and Happy Early Mother's Day to all you mamas out there!!

Oh my gosh, is this not the most accurate meme ever?! I feel this in my soul. Wouldn't trade it for a second but again...in my soul. 😂😂😂

We have nothing scheduled this weekend except for a late afternoon baseball game on Saturday. So I plan to be poolside a little, tackle a little organizing project or two, and just play it by ear. I've been at this mothering thing for 13 years now and I don't have lofty Mother's Day goals. I don't want presents or expensive restaurants or pricey flowers. I just want some peace and relaxation, for someone else to cook and do the dishes and remember to put the wet clothes in the dryer. 😉 Who's with me?

So let's catch up. (Will I ever actually catch up myself?!)

The last 3 weeks of my life have been anything but routine and I am so ready to get back to ROUTINE. I think next week should be back to normal which almost makes me look forward to Monday. 😂 (Let's not get crazy. I said almost.) But that's how bad I want a normal week.

Last week was rough. I was sick all week and I rarely get sick to the point of not being able to push through and keep things moving. I'm a mom. We don't do "sick" unless we have no other choice.

What started as some sneezing and sinus pressure/pain behind my eyes the week before evolved into a full-on situation by the following Tuesday. It was the classic head cold that I get usually once a year. (No it was not Covid. I know you're wondering! haha) It was the kind of cold that wipes you OUT. Major congestion, sneezing, sinus pressure, eyes that can barely stay open, and the realization that you have no choice but to lay in bed and try to rest. I was in bed for most of Tuesday, all of Wednesday, and about half the day on Thursday. But by Thursday night I was finally starting to feel like I was coming out the other side. (Meaning I felt like I could walk up the stairs without passing out. haha) Like all my colds, it creeps up, hits hard, and then fades away slowly. It's always a 2-week ordeal from start to finish which I find incredibly annoying. I don't have time for that. 🤪

Since I was sick all last week though, I had to work twice as hard this week to pump out all my Etsy orders. It's Teacher Appreciation/End of the Year gift time which is always a little crazy for us Etsy girls. Since I was making up for lost time, it meant long hours in my little craft room upstairs, no new blog posts and I almost missed telling my customers about a brand new collagen promo that is so dang good but ends tonight!

I have to share a little info on this because I want y'all to get free stuff if you can because who doesn't like free stuff?! And I KNOW I am not the only one who has fallen in love with all these products. ❤

If you've been wanting anti-aging goodness and liquid collagen at some sort of deal price, you need to check this out in a hurry before they shut it down. They are giving away FREE boxes of Pure Singles with qualifying orders (the liquid collagen packs you can take on the go) which is a $54 value but you gotta get those orders in ASAP. Plus this bundle basically gives you a free bottle of collagen and then a discount on the other.

You know I love the Trim, I love the Go, I love all the products so much (or I wouldn't be telling you about it here) but y'all, this particular liquid collagen is the holy grail of anti-aging for me. (And thousands of others.) I do not say that to try to sell you. I say that because I 100% believe it, I use it every single day and it has become a daily habit for the past 7 months. It is packed with phytonutrients and hyaluronic acid (it's not "just collagen") and it's convenient. I love not having to mix things into an 8oz drink or make a smoothie or any of that. It's just a quick tablespoon (in a shot glass for me) 1-2 times a day. Tastes delicious too and so easy to stay consistent with. I'm not saying others won't work. I'm just saying this one is different and works best for what I'm looking for in terms of results, benefits and convenience. (And TASTE.)

Anyway, you can go HERE to check out how to get your free box of collagen if this is something that interests you!

I watched this Thunder Force last week on Netflix and thought it was really cute. Melissa McCarthy always kills it. It's about two long-lost best friends who reconnect only to find themselves transformed into your less than typical superheroes. It's a little ridiculous (Jason Bateman plays a half-man, half-crab villain) but still...if you haven't seen it yet, put it on your watch list!

One show I DO NOT recommend is The Stand In on Netflix. Drew Barrymore...girlfriend. I know you're embarrassed by this one. It's ok. No one's perfect, honey. 😂 But y'all, this movie was almost unwatchable. I haven't seen a movie this bad in a long time. Trust me. Skip it.

Did you see all the new releases that came out in April?? I read 4 out of the 6 April releases that I posted in my Ultimate Summer Reading List post HERE. Life's Too Short, The Good Sister, and Under the Southern Sky are all worth the read and most definitely should be kept in your to-be-read pile/list! Lost in Paris was not great though so I can't recommend that one. And I'm hoping to get to the other two soon!

But right now, I'm in the middle of Mary Kay Andrews' new release, The Newcomer and it is soooo good!! I adore all her books. They are always the perfect mix of mystery and chick lit and the narrator is my favorite. So if you're looking for a great audiobook rec, this is it!

Remember that you can try Audible with a free trial HERE! I just went back and looked and I have been an Audible member since January 18, 2009!! I remember how pumped I was to discover that it was a thing and I've been obsessed ever since.

Count this as one of my favorite Amazon purchases EVER! I saw this charcuterie board on sale a few days ago and decided to treat myself. ;) It just looked too perfect to pass up! As I type this, it's still on sale for around $28 and might even arrive in time for Mother's Day if you're still looking for something. I have nothing to put on it just yet but I plan to remedy that this weekend. I just wanted to make sure to show you while it was on sale and could arrive by Mother's Day.

It comes with everything you see here: the main board, a separate round tray, 2 ceramic dishes, the knife set, 2 little chalkboard signs and 2 chalk markers.

I posted it in the Deals Group when I found it and my friend said she got 2...one for her and one to give as a Christmas gift! 😂 Never too early to start planning!

I have been rocking this cute and colorful new Apple watch band all week and it is just so pretty!! I've had questions about my watch face and it is just one that I found on the watch app and customized the colors a little.

The watch band is back HERE right now for $12.99 with free shipping if you want to grab it! I think it'll disappear again in a couple of days. Perfect for summer!

The older my kids get, the fewer pictures I have worth sharing on my camera roll. Does anyone else feel the same? I'm trying to make it a point to keep taking pictures of these boys whether they like it or not. We will all cherish these pictures as they get older!

Mason had an incredible night of pitching on Wednesday. The umpire said it was the best he's seen and that was awesome for Mason to hear. Mason also got hit by a line drive back at him while he was on the mound and they had to stop the game for about 6 minutes. It hit him on the inside of his knee. He is just recovering from a thumb injury from the previous week and was so excited to be able to put his glove on with little pain and then this...🙈. But he got up, walked it off, and finished out the game on the mound LIKE A BOSS. So proud of him.

Clearly feeling ok after that awesome win. ;)

We also were super proud of our other baby boy who is turning 13 in a couple of weeks and I'm just not ready for a teenager, y'all. A TEENAGER! How is my baby a teenager?!

That's him on the sax at his band concert. (Second saxophone player from the left.) I am still amazed every time I hear the band play. Like how do they know how to do this? It's just wild to think he has these skills that have nothing to do with me

And here he is at bat. I love this picture.

Where are my Real Housewives of NYC fans?! It's BACK and I'm so happy!! No one does crazy like these women and I'm here for it!

I always groan when they get new cast members because I get set in my ways (Bethenny come bacccckkkk) but Leah was a great addition last year so I'm hopeful they picked another good one with the addition of Eboni. We shall see!

That's all I've got for this week, friends! If you're interested in that free collagen promo, be sure to hop over HERE to check that out. Those of you who are getting in your products you ordered for the first time last month, be sure to message me on Instagram with any questions!

Have a wonderful Mother's Day, ladies!!

  1. Is Thunder Force a movie you would let your boys watch? Always trying to find new movies for us to watch as a family and with a 5th grader is hard to find appropriate stuff that is not babyish.

    1. I'd rate it probably PG-13. I was watching it when I was working on Etsy orders one day so I wasn't really paying attention too close to how apporopriate it would be for the boys but I do remember there was definitely some cursing throughout and a "romantic" scene between Melissa McCarthy and the half crab man. hahaha It wasn't a sex scene though. The whole movie is goofy so nothing is too hardcore. I know all us parents are different on what we consider appropriate or not so its hard to say "yes do it!" becase you might come back here and be like "I can't believe you thought that was apporopriate!" Or you may watch it and be like "That's totally fine for my kid to see!". 🤷‍♀️😂 I know my boys have heard all those words before so I'd probably let them watch it. (Was any of that helpful at all??? 🙈)

  2. I'm currently reading The Newcomer too but I'm only on chapter one so I can't much about it yet.

  3. We have a lot of books in common on our summer reads list. I’m so torn between reading them as soon as they come out and waiting to enjoy them in the summer when school is out and I’m finished working for the year. Decisions, decisions!! Glad you are feeling better!

    1. I’ve tried waiting before but then I end up getting so far behind bc I have so many to get through! Plus I’m super impatient. 😂
