Maker Mondays.

Happy Monday, girlies!

I normally recap the weekend but honestly, our weekend was pretty boring so I don't think it needs a full recap.

Here's our weekend in a nutshell.

Mason had a game Friday night. (I didn't get many pics.)

Mason had his best bud, Asher, sleep over after the game.  They stayed up way too late, ate pizza, watched some #kidfails on YouTube Kids and played Nintendo. They also started a pillow fight with me in the room before I ran out screaming.  ;)  #nothanks

And then Saturday we had a rare off-week with no football games.  I thought this was pretty awesome up until around noon on Saturday.  And then the boys started whining about being bored.  Ugh.  I wasn't bored.  I had stuff to do.  Laundry.  Meal planning.  Cleaning pee off the tile floor because my dog is almost 14 years old and ohhhh the pee.... #help

At least she keeps it on the tile. (Deep breath.  Big sigh.  Keep calm and carry on. All that stuff.)

We go through a lot of potty pads now that we have old dogs.  #keepinitreal

The boys were getting super restless because their friends weren't able to play for one reason or another and they were starting to get whiny and...honestly...a tad bit annoying.  If you're a mom, you know what I'm talking about.

So I needed an idea ASAP.  The boys painted wooden pumpkins a couple of years ago that I bought at Hobby Lobby.  Matthew decided his was too scary so he never displayed his in his room.  So I decided we could just flip them over and paint the other side for a totally free and fun project.

And they came out so well!  Not scary at all this time!  ;)

I helped them clean up their circles towards the end and penciled in their "M"s but the rest they did themselves.  Not bad, boys!

Matthew looks like he's in timeout in the background but really, he was just throwing a tennis ball against the brick while he waited for a layer of paint to dry.  I feel like he'd want you to know that.  ;)

Oh, and I used puffy paint to outline their "M"s.  The 80s girl in me LOVES puffy paint!!  Do y'all remember that?  I want to puffy paint ALL THE THINGS now.  So fun!

Anyway, the majority of the rest of my weekend was spent doing this!

I wanted to get a jumpstart on the holiday sign season and get things listed in my shop as soon as possible!  I'm happy to say that all of these are now available here!

The picture here doesn't even do them justice.  Most of them have the edges painted so I'm adding these pictures in so you can see better.  (below)

Eeek!  It may be biased/conceited/annoying for me to say but I love how cute they turned out!!

You are free to choose whatever color combo you would like.  Just leave your choices in the NOTES section at checkout.
(For example:  If you'd like the Baby It's Cold Outside sign in red and white with green edges just say "Red background with white lettering, green edges".  Or whatever you decide!)

For custom sizing, just message me.  :)

Things start to get really crazy and overwhelming starting the first week of November so get your orders in NOW for anything Christmas related if you can!  I am a one-woman show so when I get 100+ orders a week, things can take time to get shipped out.

And to entice you all to shop early, I have decided to give out a special coupon code for all my Christmas Signs to all my blog-reading friends!

Use the code EARLYCHRISTMAS17 for 10% off your order!  (Applies only to Christmas Signs)  Good now through October 31st.

Coupon cannot be applied after purchase.

Happy Monday, friends!

And if you missed last week's Friday Favorites, check those out here to see what made the cut!

  6. I feel you on the dog pee, my dog is going to be 13 in a few weeks and is having trouble in this area in the past few months even though she's ok otherwise in terms of health :( Do you feel like the pee pads work well for your dog? This may be a dumb question, but did you have to do any type of training for them? Unfortunately, my dog passes up the 2 giant areas of tile we have in our house and goes for the hardwood floors instead.

    1. They had basic PetSmart training when they were puppies. I think they just don't care anymore. haha. The potty pads are hit and miss. Sometimes they work great and then sometimes my dogs aren't the best at hitting the middle of the pad...so we still have a mess to clean up. The boy dog isn't great at hitting the mark. I love those dogs but I'm kind of looking forward to the day when I can rugs and nice curtains again. ;)
