Father's Day 2018.

Hi friends!  Happy Tuesday!

I hope you had a fun Father's Day weekend!

Craig was in L.A. working a QB Epic camp most of the weekend but caught the red-eye back early Sunday morning and walked through our door around 6am.

We let him sleep as long as he wanted and when he did wake up he was ready to celebrate!

But while he was away, here's what we got up to.

Mason cannot sit still y'all.  He's just not happy unless he's playing.  If he isn't playing, then he's whining about how bored he is.  This kid is going to be the social director of his crew someday.

I love sitting out on the driveway watching them play basketball once the sun goes down behind our house.  All that shade is so nice.  And I was never a basketball player (except for one 8th grade season on the B-team) but I can whoop those boys in free throws and Horse.  #fornowanyway

I thought this picture below was so funny!  I can't remember where that ball landed but it was NOT in the basket and I'm pretty sure it missed the backboard as well.  It made for a great picture though!

This is how I grew up.  Playing basketball, barefoot, in the driveway on summer nights.  Running from house to house with all my friends from sun up to sun down.  (Also barefoot.)

Playing culdesac wiffle ball with the neighborhood kids.  (Mason was barefoot.  Matthew was in his SOCKS.  Lord have mercy.)

And creating our own fun.  Like wearing your hat in the pool plus your goggles and then your sunglasses on top of your goggles.  Because when you're a kid, that's FUN!

I took this picture of Mason (below) but all I can see are my dead flowers!!!  So embarrassing.  I told y'all awhile back that I have a black thumb.  I tried.  But I just never remember to water them or I water them too much or my KIDS water them with pool water.  Which is probably not all that good for them.  ;)

The boys' birthday party is Friday night so I plan on replacing those dead flowers with pretty new (LIVE) ones before the party so I can cover up my shame.  Shhhhh.....

Moving on.

When Craig woke up on Sunday after several hours of sleep, he opened his gifts.  I got him and the boys these matching Legend/Legacy shirts and they were so perfect!  The shirts were super cheap and for once, all sizes I needed were available!

I also picked up this little cornhole set for him.  If you can't tell, we spend a lot of time outside year-round and love anything competitive.  And we built my dad a cornhole set for his birthday one year and keep saying we should get one for ourselves. But not make another one because that was a lot of work!  But totally worth it.  :)

I totally patted myself on the back for this one!

I found the new set for Craig at a local store (Tuesday Morning in Fairview for you local girls) but you can find an almost identical one HERE.  I love that the legs fold up, you can sandwich the bean bags between the two boards which velcros together and then carry it with the handle to wherever you want to store it.  The only thing I'm worried about is it getting left out in the rain!  Because that will happen...

The boys are loving them and so are their friends.

For dinner on Father's Day, Craig wanted to grill out so we had steaks (him) and shrimp (me), mac-n-cheese, asparagus, corn-on-the-cob and peach cobbler for dessert.  I mean.  That's just a happy day for everyone!  It was the perfect Father's Day.

And for good measure, here's a ton of pictures of my 3 boys!

And since I have an amazing dad of my own, here's his little collage as well.  I don't know how I got so lucky to be given a dad like I have.  He's just the greatest and I love him so much.

Hope everyone has a great day!  I'll be busy this week trying to stay on top of orders now that the shop has officially reopened!  And like I said, the boys' birthday party is Friday and I've done almost nothing except reserved the big inflatable waterslide.  That is the most important part though so I'm pretty sure that as long as people show up, it'll be a success.  ;)

I'll post more on the party next week but for now, I'm off to order cupcakes.

Have a great day, friends!
