FRIDAY FAVORITES #110.

Hello from the land of the living!!  It feels good to be back!  I have been sick all week long and it has been so incredibly annoying.  Its been one more thing that has thrown my routine completely off for the 4th (?) week in a row and I'm so over it. Give me back my boring and basic!! 😩

It is just a head cold for the most part so it's nothing serious.  I'm not asking for prayers or anything like that.  ;)  Colds just make me super whiny because they are so annoying.  It all started Sunday morning during Sunday School when I kept feeling like I was going to sneeze but then didn't (don't you hate that feeling?!) along with a little burning in the back of my throat.  I knew I was headed for a full-blown cold because this is how they always start.  I don't have allergy problems (#thankyouJesus) so I knew it wasn't that and my colds always follow the same schedule.  And this was no exception.

Sneezing and sore throat on Day 1.  Combine that with major congestion, headache, low fever, and not being able to fully open my eyes because of how heavy they were and how much they were burning and you've got Days 2 & 3.  Day 4 brings a little relief with the congestion and "my head is about to explode" feeling but that's when the coughing starts.  Day 5 is lots of coughing which tends to bring the headaches back but hopefully by Day 6 it's all starting to calm down and clear out.  Today is Day 6. #overit

This was seriously me all week.  It's exactly how I felt. 😂😂😂

Honestly, the worst thing about colds is that all you want to do is close your eyes.  All I wanted to do was sleep.  My body was begging me to just sleep.  And I did some.  Not as much as I should have because #life but some.  And now I'm once again, completely off my schedule with work and laundry and home-cooked meals and all of that.  DANG.

*Craig laughs at me every time I say "dang".  And I say it a lot.  He says its the Texarkana girl in me.  East Texans definitely have a country twang, that's for sure.  Although, I never actually realized that until I finally left the area.  My Texarkana accent has left the building for the most part though.  Aside from the occasional"dangs".

But I'm back today because I'm trying to get back into the swing of things and publishing a blog post makes me feel productive.  ;)

If you're in my Daily Deals FB Group then you may have seen some of these yesterday so I apologize for the double post.  But some of y'all aren't on FB or just didn't see it and they were just too good NOT to show you!

Starting with this awesome hoodie from Jane.  The deal is still going on right now if you want to grab one!  It comes in a bunch of awesome colors.  I'm wearing "Begonia" in a medium.  I wanted to make sure it wasn't too tight or too short and the medium was perfect on me.  If you want it a little more form-fitting, I'd go with your regular size but I personally hate feeling restricted when I'm wearing a hoodie. (For sizing reference I'm 5'5", 120lbs, size 4. I always feel weird giving my stats like that but it always helps me when I'm trying to figure out a size based on seeing it on someone else.)

I wore my pink hoodie with a grey tank underneath for a little extra length but I don't really think I needed it.

HOODIE / SHOES (AMAZON FIND & SO COMFORTABLE) / JEANS ARE OLD / RUG

My last 10 or so purchases from Jane have been five stars, awesome, outstanding, love love love type of things.  But since Jane's deals only last 72 hours and you never know when something will show up again, I have to stalk their site to see what's new that day in case it's something I have that you need to know about too!  Like my favorite coat I got for under $30 that I told y'all about in the group this week!  I wish the deal was still there so I could share it here too but alas...it has gone!

Be sure to join the group if you haven't yet so you don't miss this good stuff!

Since we're talking cozy stuff (and it's currently raining and cold outside), I've also been wearing the heck out of this Abercrombie sweatshirt lately.  If you love a soft, cozy, no fuss sweatshirt without looking like you stepped straight out of the 80s, this is for you.  It comes in several other colors but they are selling out so don't wait if you want to get one.  These are also currently on sale (as I'm typing this) for under $27 when you join their myAbercrombie rewards program too!

SWEATSHIRT / FAVORITE JEANS / WEDGE SNEAKERS (on Jane now but if sold out there check HERE)

I'm wearing a small and it is plenty roomy so I'd say these are TTS. I'm not sure this burgundy will be around for much longer but I also love it in the black!

Last weekend, I bought two new throws because apparently 4,298 of them just isn't enough.  (Does anyone else have an obsession with super soft throws?)  I saw two Christmas ones that I just had to have at Marshalls the other day and vowed to put them away until at least mid-November.  And then Mason found them and all resolve went out the window.  Why deny someone a cozy throw just because it's October and there are Christmas trees on it?!  I mean, that's just silly. ;)

I used it to nap on the couch this week while I was sick.  It is the softest thing ever and I'm so glad I didn't leave it sitting in a closet until it was seasonally appropriate.  I'm not putting this out on display or anything but we're certainly using it constantly.

I couldn't find a link to this exact one but there are about a thousand others HERE that are just as soft, cozy and cute!

This is the other one I bought and I'm thinking it will be such a pretty one to display!  Counting down the days until I can fill my house full of twinkly lights!

Since we're talking a bit prematurely about Christmas, let's go ahead and talk about my next favorite.  Hallmark Christmas movies start today!!  I mean, I kind of feel like they are pushing things just a TAD but eh, what do I care?!  Bring on Santa, sappy love stories and all my favorite B-list actors!

The Hallmark Channel will officially start its "Countdown to Christmas" on Saturday but Hallmark's Movies and Mysteries Channel kicks things off tonight!  I'll admit that I get a bit nutso with #allthingsChristmas sometimes.  But I know I'm not alone in that! Christmas time just feels good and who doesn't want to feel good?

Now, as excited as I was for the kickoff to Christmas on October 26th, I realized that I had a problem.  We cut the cable cord this summer and haven't looked back.  UNTIL I realized that Hulu Live doesn't carry the Hallmark channel!  What?!  Face. Meet palm. 🤦‍♀️

I know other streaming services carry it like Philo and Sling (and others) but Hulu doesn't and that's what we've been using.  Yes, I could switch to one of the others but you have no idea how cranky we'd all be if we had to relearn a new service.  Craig especially.  It took awhile before he was able to quickly get to whatever show he wanted, know how to record it, etc.  It's a learning process and not something we want to start over.  PLUS, I really only watch Hallmark on a regular basis during the Christmas season.  Let's just say the rest of my family would not be happy if I switched things up on them just so I could watch Candace Cameron Bure fall in love with the small, snowy town's widowed mayor.  Or something like that.

So, I did some googling and realized that you can subscribe to Frndly TV for $5.99 a month (cancel anytime) and it carries The Hallmark Channel, Hallmark Movies & Mysteries and Hallmark Drama.  Hallelujah!  It's just another smaller streaming service that caters to family-friendly channels.  Totally worth it for the next couple of months.  It also has the Weather Channel which we don't get with Hulu although that's not a huge deal. It's just another plus.

Hallmark Channels, Game Show Network, Outdoors Channel Sportsman Channel, and more. TV, Phone, Tablet - Roku and Amazon Fire

So, if you're also scrambling to figure out how to watch your favorite Hallmark movies LIVE (or on demand) this season, you might want to check out Frndly TV!  It will be on nonstop for the next two months while my busiest season hits (Etsy orders) and I'm stuck up in my little craft room for hours and hours each day. Not a bad gig, actually. ;)

PS: I don't have a referral link or anything.  This is just me trying to help in case you are also a Hulu girl and are trying to figure out how to watch Hallmark this season.

Now speaking of Etsy, have you checked out the latest new additions to the shop?!  I've got even more SUPER DUPER cute cork and leather prints coming in next week that I cannot wait to make into earrings!  Here's a sneak peek at some of the prints coming soon...

I got that Christmas print because it was just too fun to pass up and I thought it would be great for some cheesy Ugly Sweater party earrings that aren't super ugly.  Just festive. :)

And for cute stuff available now, here are just a few!  Most of these are that amazingly awesome cork backed with the smooth leather.  It gives the earrings a sturdy look and they hold their shape without curling.  The ones that aren't cork are a genuine, thick leather.  NOT that super thin, flimsy leather that you see a lot.  (Although I do use thinner leathers when I make layered earrings.)

If you haven't grabbed a pair yet, I'd love for you to check them out and see what you can find that calls to you. :)  New prints are being added weekly and some prints are available in limited quantities so if you see something you like, I can't promise they'll be there the next week.

(These are the ones I was wearing in last week's post!)

(These have been a big seller! The colors are gorgeous.  Orange, browns, dark green and flecks of metallic gold.)

As a reminder, the shop isn't all earrings! I've been painting lots of pretty Christmas signs lately too.  (I may or may not have already watched Home Alone as I painted the ones below...)

These two are 5.5"x24" and look great above a doorframe, on a shelf or in a gallery wall mix.

This one is new this year!  I've got it listed in the 3.5x12" size but if you'd like it in the bigger one, I can do that too! Just message me through Etsy. :)

And don't forget all the cute drinkware!!  Since we're already talking Christmas (on October 25th...I know...I'm sorry!) here are a few of my favorite Christmas cups! I can do any of the designs on any cup, by the way.  Just ask!

My excuse for posting all this Christmas stuff early is because everything is made to order and I have a 1-2 week turnaround time.  So if you order now, it'll ship by November 8th plus a few days in transit.  By the time it gets to you, it's almost time!!  So order now!  I only have 3 of the snow cups left in stock and am not sure I'll be getting more so just a heads up! :)  I also have a Rush option available if you need it.

And if you're looking for every day, practical tumblers and mugs, I've got that too!

Head to my shop HERE to check everything out and message me through Etsy with any questions!

I hope you all have a happy weekend!  Be sure to head on over to the FB group throughout the day too for more great deals on all sorts of fun stuff!

Happy Friday!

  4. Oh I know just how you felt; I had a horrible head cold for just over a week and while I tried so hard not to complain about how I felt I know I failed miserably. Glad you are starting to feel better.
